I've got two hdmi modded n64s now (ultrahdmi and n64 digital), and the everdrive, morph4k i just need the usb-c mod and it will be even better than the analogue device (which i ordered anyway lol)
The reason the power supply is having issues is because the original uses a power supply that changes voltage when it gets an on signal. For example it will be 10.9v out until he console is on then it will be 12v. The 3.3v is more like 3.7 volts until the console turns on then it steps down to 3.3v. Your USB power is not doing that.
The usb-c input comes in at 9v and is then split. One goes to the 12v rail, and the other goes to the 3.3v via a stepdown convertor. When the console is on, it's still registering at 9v and 3.3v. Do you think the 3.3v is still too low, or even the 9v? I can't get 12v from any device, and I don't want to try 15v.
@@DReviewTing yeah when the console is on it should be giving you around 12.4v, off it will only give you 10.9v or so. It's the opposite with the 3.3v, it will be 3.3v when on and 3.7v when off. Not sure why...
Analogue N64 Console outputs to 4k native resolution. and uses a custom OS. we can also play 64 games in 4k on pc so i really don't see the point of your mod.
The point is: it's a bit of fun. It's also a cheap alternative that can be done at home, without the cost of an Analogue. Plus, it's an option to play the original hardware. Why do you need an OS to play 64? You don't. Its 4k output, but that doesn't mean it's going to be decompiled and massively rerendered and upscaled. Your second part about PC nullifies your comment about the analogue then. So I don't really see the point in your comment.
Thank you! At this stage, there are no options for the pico. It's just a straightforward convertor. But I'm hoping he will add some more functionality further down the line.
Curious, what was the total cost for everything? With Analogue I don't really have issues with the A3D selling out. The white sold out fairly quick but the black version was up for several days so people had time to order. If they missed, I assume they'll be up for preorder again sometime. My concern is if Analogue is going to ship to California and then ship out to other countries. Depending on when the A3d ships, that might mean tariffs when the A3d ships from China to California and then local tariffs/local taxes when it ships internationally. That's no fun.
That is absolutely no fun! So a rough price would be about 120eur, which includes the original N64. Paint would be about 150. All the components were less that 5 each, bought in bundles from aliexpress.

When Blaze can partner with local distributers for their products and carts, there's no excuse. Not even the boutique, JIT order excuse after the success of the Pocket. Fix the distribution.

Thank you! It was great fun. The paint I used was just acrylic spray paint, but the top layers were just a quick spray from a distance.
