    What do you think about the 'outdoors' niche? I'm thinking 'camping', 'survival gear', tents, etc. From your videos it seems like it could be borderline 'risk' like safety gear. But I feel like it could provide a steady margin for 3 out of 4 seasons at least (even if it's not necessarily large).

    Hi. Thank you for all the informative videos. I'm on the fence about dropshipping, but one niche I think might work is the plastic free niche, such as silicone food storage bags, bamboo or steel straws, mesh produce bags, things like that. Do you think that's a niche that will take off. I think people are concerned about all the plastic that's thrown away. Thanks again for all the great content.

    • @laplana777

      i run a store in that niche and not really profitable so far, obvious audiences dont work that great.

    • @Oberlo
      @Oberlo  5 лет назад

      Hi there! While I do think that is a great niche to get into right now, I think it could get a little hard later on. If you're selling in niche that's about using less plastic, the audience might expect you to not ship your products in plastic. This might not be possible for suppliers, or might cost you more money to use a different shipping container. I would just think about how you want to address that before you do grow with that business. I hope that helps. -Kitana

      FLT1979 not everyone is going to check the product on amazon, you are not gonna sell to people who check prices, but to people who impulse buy or are simply not willing to do a proper product research. And also, you can write a product name that is different from what is written on amazon or AliExpress, so when they search for it they wont find unless they put a lot of effort into searching for the product(but most of the times you can put the same name as the products in amazon and still make many sales. A lot of people just don’t put in the work to find the product somewhere else, even if they are active customers on amazon so don’t worry, if you are not making any sales, it is most likely not because of competition).

Once you find the best interests, all you have to do is use your add to cats, checkouts and purchase data to create lookalikes audiences and then test as many different audiences as possible to find the one that are going to give you profit.

    • @Oberlo
      @Oberlo  5 лет назад

      Hey Carlos! When it comes to replica products we encourage merchants to stay away from these ones. Could you get into trouble from selling it? It's a possibility of course but I can't say for sure (which is why we encourage people to avoid those products). The choice will always be yours and we just suggest to use caution when dealing with grey areas like this. 😀 -Kitana

      @Oberlo  5 лет назад +1

      Hey there! Good question. You can use the same supplier or look at other suppliers selling the same product. When seeing if a supplier is good to use or not you want to check the product reviews, product rating, and supplier rating. If the product has good reviews with photos where you can see the product quality then they will be best to use. If a product has no reviews you will want to either choose a different supplier or buy a test product to see the product quality yourself. Once you start to look at more and more products it will be easier to spot the good ones and the bad ones. I hope that helps. 😀 -Kitana

      Great question! The before and after rule applies to products people would use to change or alter their bodies. You can do a before and after video showing how a product can make someones life easier though. I might stay away from having before and after in one frame of the video, just to be sure. -Kitana

    • @Oberlo
      @Oberlo  5 лет назад

      Hi there! Excellent question. When fulfilling orders, the tags in the Oberlo Dashboard switch automatically as the package moves throughout the process. This guide (bit.ly/2YqNdcF) shows you exactly how to fulfill orders. It sounds like you may have marked the product as shipped either within Shopify or Oberlo, but without taking a closer look it's hard to tell. Give us a shout at hello@oberlo.com so we can take a look at the order specifically, or follow along with the guide above. Note that it can take 3-5 days before the tracking information is updated by AliExpress and reflects in Oberlo. 🙂 -Jasper

    what's the problem in making a allrounder store where we can sell products of any niche ??

    • @Oberlo
      @Oberlo  5 лет назад

      Hey there! Good question. There isn't a problem with making a general store. A lot of dropshippers have general stores and do very well with them. General stores can be harder to target the right customers with since you're selling a bunch of products that aren't in one niche each and every product you have will require its own market research and target market. This can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how you look at it. If you're newer to dropshipping I think it's better to start with a niched store and then open a general store once you get more comfortable with the business model. 😀 -Kitana

      Hey there! Fantastic question. Firstly, ePacket may be affected in America, but it's still available in over 30 other prime markets in the world. Full list here (bit.ly/2H17kWn). Dropshipping is simply a fulfillment method at the end of the day. Oberlo is a tool with helpful resources that adapts to its changing environment, and AliExpress has millions of products for everyday consumers. It is by no means dead in 2020. Now is the perfect time to start your eCommerce empire. 🙂 -Jasper

    • @Oberlo
      @Oberlo  5 лет назад +2

      Hey there! Awesome question. I personally would stay away from products people have to put on their skin or in their bodies. It's hard to fully be confident in a product like that when you have no control of what is going into it. If you want to sell a product like that in your store I suggest contacting businesses on Etsy that would be willing to work with you. I guarantee that if a niche is being recommended by Oberlo as a new trend for 2020, it means it's already been played out for 2-3 years prior... (tech fitness clothes and cross body bags?!..really?) Also majority of these reccs are not a Star product that you can built out a niche store on, but more like an add-on to the actual product (ie, those cheap shield glasses......that no one would waste money buying unless they're designer anyway)... just an accessory in an already EXISTING themed e-store.
    Dropshipping is over-saturated- not to mention consumers have no patience for the slow delivery times anymore, even with e-packet you can expect to wait 15 days or more for the same thing you can find on amazon..and lots of consumers now know about aliexpress and bang bang these days, or are smart enough to comparison shop your dropshipping product on google. Videos like these are probably better for people who have already been in the game for a while...If new people really want to start an e-commerce store in 2020 I really think white labeling followed by private labeling is the best way to go. Hell even a mixed store would be better than relying on dropshipping alone.
