It’s crazy how interested people in other countries are in American politics! When I was in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2017, we were in a pub having lunch. Our server asked where we were from. My friend told him we were from Ohio and asked if he knew where that was. He said, “Oh yes, Ohio is a swing state!” 😅 I love your mural, especially that beautiful peacock. I am finally caught up with your videos. I lost my dad to cancer about a month ago and I’ve felt a little lost. It’s still hard but I’m feeling more hopeful. Welcome home!

I love the mural! Your family rooms feels alive to me, it has an energy to it now that i cant quite put my finger on, but its good energy! I have a mural in our family room as well, the theme of our home is more British Colonial, so it has palms and lots of birds. I sit and stare at it and just feel peace. I know not everyone loves it, but my husband and i couldn't care less!
Loved, loved, loved the vlogs from England! In between new posts, I would go back to your previous England travels and watch those. Have not been to England yet, but plan to go one of these days. I am truly an Anglophile by heart. My ancestry DNA results came back as 86% British, even though I am a mix of Swedish and Norwegian also. No wonder I am drawn to all things British, it's in my blood😊! I have learned so much from your wisdom on slowing down and being in the moment, it reminds me of my grandmother. My grandmother would make tea and pastries and she had the most wonderful gardens with lily-of-the-valley, Rose of Sharon and other lovely things. She did not have an easy life, but she took time to enjoy beauty and I cherish those memories and have incorporated so many into my own home. Thanks for your encouragement to enjoy the life we have by looking for beauty in the everyday moments.

For my commonplace journal this year I got a leather journal from Portland Leather Goods in a teal color. Going to use that for my handbag to keep with me! I thought about using it for a brain dump notebook but I think common place will be better. Plus I can review it when waiting in an office or sitting for a quick coffee break. Yay, Jennifer! I ADORE Dooney & Burke. My favorite handbag, hands down. I have one that I've been using continually for almost 3 years!!! Yes, I've used other bags during that time, but episodically only (evening clutch, for example). I love my D & B so much that nothing else will do, and may I add, It looks as new today as it did on the very first day of use. The bag is indestructible (although I do take great care of it). D & B are among the very best of handbags - exquisitely made, top grade materials. Can never go wrong and worth EVERY penny!! AND the mural - stunning. Another, "well worth the investment". And I may be remembering incorrectly, but it seems like Dooney & Burke put out a bag called the Dooney bag, back in the late 80s and early 90s. I love the mural! The peacock is exquisite. It was neat to find out that you adore D&B too! I still use my leather D&B key chain from the early ‘90’s. Their bags are so well made. I currently use their nylon tote purses, one in black and one in navy. I had several different styles in the 90’s and I am regretting giving them away. They would be vintage now, just like me! I can’t wait to see the decor video! 🦚🦆

After reading some of the comments I didn’t know what to expect when I saw the mural…and I really think it’s lovely. It has some of the formality you originally mentioned with the whimsy to delight a woman who gushes over her Alice prints. 😊 When you add some coordinating color in your redecorating it will be a very special room that totally suits you. Jennifer, I know you’ve been in this long enough to know that rudeness and honesty have been conflated these days. I hope it rolls off your back at this point. And I love those handbags! Dooney is enjoying a resurgence, I think.

I love the peacock in the mural. Anyway, I have done a lot of research when it comes to red light therapy. I don’t recommend getting a small device. It is much better to buy an LED face mask. I use mine on my head, and my hairdresser told me that she has never seen my hair grow so fast.
I have a Blumene, but I am struggling with the idea they don't require a conductive get them microcurrent to work. I am so confused by this! Does anyone have any idea about it?

Is it a rich, red flesh inside (deep red wine color) ? Not so translucent inside like many plums found at grocery stores? Growing up my parents had an old tree that produced wonderful plums like those I described. My Godmother would make rather "tart" preserves for us (not overly sweet as many are today) and I have fond memories! I've very seldom seen these types of plums ... I love the peacock in the mural. Anyway, I have done a lot of research when it comes to red light therapy. I don’t recommend getting a small device. It is much better to buy an LED face mask. I use mine on my head, and my hairdresser told me that she has never seen my hair grow so fast.

Greetings Jennifer and welcome back to the US 🇺🇸 🙂 What kind of plum tree do you have? It appears the fruit is perhaps green on the outside when ripe? Is it a rich, red flesh inside (deep red wine color) ? Not so translucent inside like many plums found at grocery stores? Growing up my parents had an old tree that produced wonderful plums like those I described. My Godmother would make rather "tart" preserves for us (not overly sweet as many are today) and I have fond memories!
I've very seldom seen these types of plums ... Hence my curiosity 😅

I love those memories! The plums are medium purple on the outside and yellow on the inside. I'm not sure of the exact variety name...
The plums you describe sound like sand plums. My grandma used to make sand plum jelly
