    This song makes me imagine of the victories of Patton and his troops marching alongside in victory parades in Italy; epic.

    Everytime I heard this. I......imagined a whole army praising me as their leader for the victory well earned. It still is nostalgic and awe inspiring to me. :')

    "The battle of El Alamein will be remembered as a key victory for the Allies in North Africa. German forces in the desert have done everything they can to win the war, but they have nevertheless come up short. Their mighty tanks are running out of gas, and even Rommel must realize that the end is near. Montgomery will soon lead the Allied Forces to victory in North Africa."
    -Campaing, El Alamein.

    What the hell happened to this series. This game had awesome music, BF: Vietnam had awesome music, BF2 had awesome music....then BF3 and 4 come along and all we get is some psuedo-dubstep fart noises. DICE needs to get their heads out of their asses.

    "There is no doubt that the battle of Kursk was an important victory for Stalin's troops. German high command put everything they had left into this effort, but in the end the Red Army was able to defend the city and force German troops to pull back. It is believed that German commanders retreated even though Berlin ordered them not to give an inch. This could well mean the end of the Third Reich is now in sight."
    - Campaign, Kursk

    Some of the best music in one of the best games ever made. Coincidentally, it was also the last great Battlefield game before that brand became a never-ending parody of itself.

    "Though vastly outnumbered, the small US force couldn't be outfought.
    Coming so soon after Pearl Harbor, this important victory allows the US
    to maintain a vital position in the Pacific. It also serves to let the
    Japanese know that the United States refuses to roll over after Pearl
    Harbor. In addition to the strategic implication of holding Wake Island,
    the victory provides a huge morale boost to US troops and its Allies
    everywhere."
    - Wake Island, US Victory. Because fuck yeah we sunk your carrier and your destroyer. With only torpedo bombers.

    I think this should've been the defeat song instead. Would make it way easier to feel badass enough to click the retry button and beat the enemy :D

    • @DamienDoesGames
      @DamienDoesGames 6 лет назад

      @@jsXanatos Actually, as a Veteran of the brutal Campaigns of Battlefield 1942, I agree with him. This would work well. It would make you feel more badass when clicking the retry button. Especially on Wake Island on the Axis Campaign.

    • @vito7428
      @vito7428 6 лет назад +4

      Damien MacKeigan But that would eliminate the badassness you feel when you manage to hold the enemy back after a tough battle. The defeat theme is meant to be like that because it's supposed to tell you how big of a disaster the defeat was to your side.

    • @SplendidCoffee0
      @SplendidCoffee0 Год назад +1

      @@jsXanatos firstly, I had no clue you were an OG Battlefield fan. But also, you’re right on the money. This theme makes you feel like a supreme badass for driving out the enemy, whereas the defeat theme really makes you feel ashamed for losing. It wouldn’t work any other way.
