Sincerely for me, i had good experiences with the ghana nurses. I came into ghana briefly some years back when i was pregnant with my 2nd child, all through my antenatal and delivery, the nurses at La general hospital were so caring, infact their attitude made me go into the health sector. Though im back to Nigeria but i regret coming back, cant wait to come back to Ghana. Only 1 year i came back to Nigeria from ghana, i don see shege banza. I swear my life was much better when i was in ghana. Ghana gave my life a meaning. I gave birth via CS without paying a dime. Did a professional course and graduated, something I couldn't achieve in my so called country. Well done Lilly, your growth inspires me.

This is just so wow. Awww, I remember La general hospital then, it’s no more as the government has turned most of the hospital in the country to pollyclini. Come back to Ghana and find something to do here. God bless you.

Its not true that most of the hospital have been turned into polyclinics infact the reverse ist what's happening ... Lilly, most of our secondary schools to the university are boarding schools. This gives us an opportunity to live and learn together, it removes the differences among our tribes. Secondly, our parents did not prevent us from marrying each other tribes. Lastly, we don’t preach against our tribes in our churches. We also sell farming lands to other tribes for their settlements. As a result, we are mixed up in every family. Every Nuclear family is formed by different tribes. Finally, Ghanaians do not like seeing blood .This is the foundation of our peace ☮️

    • @MrAFORCEONE
      @MrAFORCEONE 11 месяцев назад +6

Exactly. The high school boarding system was the best thing to happen to Ghana. We learn to live and enjoy each others company regardless of your tribe. 99 percent of the tribalistic people are the ones who never attended.

      @@jean-claudemangan2708 You're very funny.
The only one I know who is the giver of peace is GOD! Jesus himself said that the peace he gives us is unlike anything the world can offer.
It's interesting to observe that Ghana, a country I hold dear, is known for its peaceful atmosphere. I believe this peace stems from the deep love and fear of God that the people of Ghana possess. Unlike some other African countries I am aware of, Ghanaians have a unique aversion to easily resorting to violence or taking another person's life.
In our culture, we often say "give it to God" because we firmly believe that only God has the power to seek ultimate revenge or justice. It's a reflection of our faith and trust in a higher power.
I find these aspects of our culture and belief system truly fascinating. It's a testament to the power of faith and the impact it can have on a society.
I thought you might find this perspective interesting as well.

Lily, the peace and unity we have in Ghana have to do with our social and cultural fabric. You have followed a little bit of our school's social life from secondary school to the university so you will understand.
In Ghana we have our ethnic differences and stereotypes. A Ghanaian child goes to school with this tribal bigotry in his mind but he goes to school with different tribes, in some cases sit on the same desk with other tribes. They play together, and do many things together. The child automatically learns that what he was told, is not what is it. They become friends and even best of friends. Still familiss continue to stereotype others whenever, he comes from school.
He goes to secondary in a different a region and meet basically different people with same or different ethnic backgrounds. Their parents are not there, even the very tribe that has been stereotyped is your housemaster, who cares for and ensures that you are protected. You have different relationship with different tribes as well.
Your friends made during primary are in another schools and you are going to compete with them on various things; sports, quiz (NMSQ), debate etc. You have form bonds with these new group but still have those in primary as friends.
After secondary, those you were in the same boarding house and competed together are now your family when it comes to your alma Marta.
You go to the university, the people you were competing against secondary are now in the same hall with and you are making friends and bonding as well. Your friends in primary and secondary schools are also in another halls or probably another university and you are going to complete against them in sports other academic challenges. You realise that those people you are competing again, are no strangers to you, someway somehow, you have some connection and relationship with them.
After school, there is politics. Your best friend is in opposing political party, your uncle aunt is not in the same party with you. Sometimes, your mate became a politician who doesn't share same political idea with you.
You maybe angry and furious but you cannot kill someone who doesn't share your idea because that person may be your friend, family, relative etc.
So in Ghana, one is careful with excess in tribal and political sentiments. I have said, one way or the other, you have personal relationship with the opposing person. You will meet him or her during your alumni meetings or social gatherings like wedding, outdooring, funerals, etc.
We even have same blood relatives who belong to the two main political parties in Ghana currently and in the past. So who are you going to kill? That same person will be one who will help if there is a need.
We have our own tribal and political bigotry, but our social and cultural settings find ways to bridge those differences.

Nigeria has respectable chiefs too, but their influence is not as far-reaching as in Ghana.

First of all english is not our language, when Chinese speak english it doesn't sound like a native of England, even among the countries that make up the UK,Scottish accent is different, Irish accent is different, Welsh accent is different, there is not standard, stick to what you know and leave others alone.
