      I grew up in the projects and all my friends but a couple were black. Their moms took care of me when needed and my mom took care of them when needed. We never saw color, we were just family. When you live in poverty with other people you learn that if you want to survive you have to help one another and that quickly makes you family.

  • @dansanders9121
    @dansanders9121 3 года назад

    In all honesty, I've never heard most of these stereotypes and those that I have I always just assumed people were racist and trying to spread some lies or whatever. In my experience, black women have been some of the kindest, most open, caring, etc people I have ever met and, again at least in my experience, the only "stereotype" about them is they are like the "mom" friend of any group, trying to make sure everyone is happy, taken care of, is enjoying themselves, etc. Real talk. So like, without going into details, I was going through some hard time (medical issues, followed by financial problems and family issues after the passing of my grandma a few years back). This one woman who at the time I only knew sort of tangentially (now we're good friends) was one of the first people to call me and check in and see how i was. I had only met her a few times at that point and i had no idea she even knew, but she cared enough to call me and ask what she could do to help after grandma passed, and then when I got sick she called and made sure I wad doing ok, and when I started having financial problems and i was embarrassed and tried to hide it/etc she noticed, and was one of the only ones who did. She called me *every. single. day.* to make sure i was doing ok, got out of the house to at least have a walk, to make sure I had food/was eating, etc. And again, I know this is only one person and obviously this isn't reality for everyone just like any of these other stereotypes, but this has been my experience

    I believe everything but the loud one..... just go out and drive or walk around, the loudest ppl around look who they are..... I can be in my car with the radio on and hear the conversation from the bus stop on the other side of the street.... Go to a store six aisle away i can hear their conversation.... Experience has showed me this one...... Sorry..... But I have one for ya..... Now I found this one by accident and just started to pay attention..... Mainly black women drivers do not like not winning red light drag racing..... And the worst part nobody is drag racing..... I found this one riding my motorcycle and light turns green and away they go.... Being in the bike I can hear the engine of the car next to me very well and some have damn near blown their shit up trying to stay ahead of me and being on a bike it wont happen unless I want it to.... Again it was accidental just noticed all these cars trying to keep up and you look over an blk woman, even happens in a car as well.... Next time your driving away from a light and the car next to you is bound and determined to be first to the next light its either a 16 yr old kid racing everything or its a blk woman..... Again sorry...... And no im not a racist biggot I own a tattoo shop in the hood and mingle with all.... You're good ppl or ur not and thats just life and every race is in life and everyone can be cool or a fool it's not born in the dna......

    My best friend at 18 was black and funny as hell. We walked into a restaurant, and the waitress started leading us to what looked like a black family reunion. My friend said, very loudly "OH HELL NO! I KNOW YOU AIN'T TRYING TO SIT US NEXT TO THESE BLACK FOLK, BEING LOUD AS HELL, SMACKING THEY DAMN LIPS!" It was like the movies where the record skips, and it gets quiet in an instant. After I picked my jaw up off the floor, I aggressively whispered "OMG, JERRI! Are you trying to get us shot?!?!" She said she ain't listening to that shit while she's trying to eat, and she knows that's how it'll be because that's how all black people are. I stared at my plate the entire time and never made sure contact. I also never went out to eat with her again. 🤣🤣🤣
