Marmite should be a torture food. Just sayin
I'm from Worcester and you've just disgraced my entire county.
I'm sure 100% of Americans would mispronounce Worcester and Leicester, it is quite a laugh watching them try though.
Pronounced "wus-ter" for anyone wondering
+SIRlodgey or wor-chest-er
+Harry Yeend No. Just no.
Same mate, horrible pronunciation..
never heard anyone describe prawn cocktail as *cheesy*
Mr Skits yeah lol
Mr Skits yeh that is just CRAY-CRAY
Mr Skits ikr
I tried them for the first time a few weeks ago, and to an American, it does have a cheesy flavor to it but it also was too vinegaree for me. I got the big bundle bag of crisps from England and prawn cocktail was the least favorite for me out of like 4-5 flavors or however many flavors there are in the big bags...the reason could have been I was comparing it to the other flavors, maybe if I had just the prawn cocktail crisps, I would have liked them...
It tastes fishy to us...because it's PRAWN cocktail. I think Americans are just obsessed with cheese.
Shreddies are knitted by nanas
too cute
My nana told me that she worked for the shreddie factory.
wait, did you just put the fucking milk in before the cereal?
This shit's against the law >.>
This fucking guy tho...
+louis thomas you mad bro? hahaha go cry to your nan before she gets dementia
I was referring to the yank eating the cereal but in that case i hope you have fun beating off alone in your room trying to hit 10th prestige
You sad little boy
the cheese might not smell good coz its REAL CHEESE
ZENTORO good point
or cuz it hasn't been in the fridge for a few days
wtf bbq beef has so much flavour are u nuts jeeze
ZENTORO GAMING so true
He's got the Poundland all day breakfast and he's going to put mustard on it. 😂
No you put the milk in last to know how much to put in
lmfaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
He could not have had worse food, f***ing pounglang. Really?
+James Collins poundland*
Did he just microwave a fucking pot noodle?
So Americans don't have kettles I take it?
Actually no. Not like we have in the UK anyway. Its to do with the voltage, their electrics run on about 110v where as ours are about 240v. From what I understand over there you either put a kettle on the stove or buy a mega expensive high tech electric kettle that can run on low voltage.
That's what I thought 😂 just pour kettle water on it let it stand then stir it and eat it ..
+Hh G yeah, from what i heard most dont and just end up microwaving cups of water (sacrilege i know)
+whistonjuniors ewwwww lol
we are not obsessed with pickles you just got the most of the bad food we eat 😂😂😂
We just have four mugs of tea a day
I love the monster munch there so good my fav flavour is pickled onion 😊
Yeah like marmite😈
He got sent shit
Don't ever let me catch you eating marmite by the spoon again....
Oh, I do that 😊
You only make that mistake once.
I LOVE marmite!
Steve Q
Ikr you put marmite on fucking toast
Not by the spoon
Steve Q marmite is the 1 lol
who puts the milk in before cereal 😂😂😂
Toni Whitehouse yeh I put milk last
Toni Whitehouse my friend does that and I just don't understand smh 😂😂😂😂( I'm joking btw)
i put milk alfter cereal so i know kow much milk to put, as the cereal usually floats (right)
Kittiqy OwO omg me too!
Kittiqy OwO what kind of human are you
It's not American enough. It needs more sugar.
Joel Metcalfe cuz we ain't American we're British!
Hi I am from australia
Joel Metcalfe nearly all these items are very salty
I'm from Britain and the best crisps in my opinion are sour cream and onion pringles
Joel Metcalfe I was like well us British don't have has much sugar in food as you 😂 (that's why most children other their are obese)
ever think the reason why he does not really like British crisps/potato chips is because they are not 800% sugar
lol but rude
+Narwhal Steve also a bit true
+Karl Wilson same
So true
+Karl Wilson literally radioactive lol
It was so funny hearing him try to pronounce worcester XD
lol, i practally pissed myself
Its Worcestershire
For those who want to tell me I'm wrong I have auto correct so it will correct the mistake and I have the Worcestershire sauce in my refrigerator so shut up!
+Jasmine To Crazy oh, that is the county Worcester is in
Basmati was funny, too.
Marmite thinly smeared on hot buttered toast.
nlo114 nailed it
nlo114 thinly? No joke I must put about 1/4" on! Mmmm
nlo114 nah, Bovril spread on toast, yum ;)
Sophie - just because it is sold as that (and as a drink it isn't too my taste) doesn't mean you can't use it in different ways. Bovril is great as a spread on hot buttered toast and as a extra hit of savoury in a meat stew
Marmite , no thanks far too yeasty & salty for me, Bovril... yes please..
Prawn cocktail crisps are heaven
+Seniac yh!
100℅
+Thomas Cowley 100‰ no
Sophie Robson omg loser
Oh yes
you literally had the worst of our food lol
The crisps are okay
Except for monster munch pickled onion. That is heavenly
+SharpShotYT
He literally picked the 5 worst flavours we have 😂
What the ff..? I like everything there
marmite + American
= 😨
Bro, why did he send you plain Shreddies!?!?! Frosted Shreddies are the shit!
Yeah and coco shreddies
Marmite - one of the most polarising subjects in the UK!
(Awful stuff)
like the advert states .......you either love it or hate it.
yeasty poison
I'm indifferent to it...
I love Marmite. It is a really odd taste though, so I do get why people don't like it.
Marmite is boss.
Fancy sending him a tin of pilchards lol! The poor sod!
Yeh there not rate cracking are they
Geoff P pilchards are yummy 😋
i even saw that glass jar of pickled cockles or winkles. You know, that jar that has been sitting in the sunlight in a shop corner for about 5 years because noone ever eats it
Geoff P we should send him chip and gravy #northernandproud
My Mrs likes those fucking cockles, I have to get a jar every time I go to the chip shop, I think they are fucking horrible.
Then to top it off she waits until I have sort of forgotten that I bought them, then she eats a few in the next room and comes and gives me a kiss !
I love that woman but that's just disgusting !
I just researched who's and found out that walkers was founded in 1948 and lays was founded in 1961 so basically lays is a big American copy that stole the logo but changed the name so that proves that America ran out of ideas
GGTrollGG 123 lays is walkers there both owned by Pepsi Walkers was founded in 1948 in Leicester, England by Henry Walker, and acquired by Lay's owner, Frito-Lay, a division of PepsiCo, in 1989. It is best known for manufacturing potato crisps, and other, non-potato-based snack foods. They hold 56 percent of the British crisps market.
The divine truth I live in Leicester
So true
It shows that brits move and Americans dont
did he microwave pot noodles 😔
some people do ! i dont blame them pot noodles are stale with boiling water alone
+girlsdrinkfeck there not
C.V.A NO.58
pot noodles r shit and taseless
Leave the flavour packet and add an OXO or two, it's amazing!
You have to. Americans don't have kettles because the voltage is too low and it would take forever to heat up. Most people just boil water in their microwaves because it's faster
0/10 There was no space raiders :(
:(
Ikr! I had a packet of beef flavour yesterday, best flavour out of the bunch
I went through a phase where I bought like 5 packs a day... probably not healthy, but no regrets haha
and no transformers there my fave
I hate it when they say chips because we say chips for fries
Americans be like MORE SUGGUURR!!!! 😂😂
Skiptar i put sugar on shreddies y did he not
That's why they are so crazy e.g Jake paul
Your not funny
Skiptar I'm English I love sugar
Skiptar ?
Shawn the difference in cultures is crazy because I love everything on this video
+EnSoccerPedia hahaha
I love it all too
If you don't like marmite you're a fool....
thing wi marmite for me is that ya got to botch a pretty thin spread or it fks with ur mouth
+Wench nah, some of us are conditioned to lick it off the knife after spreading loads of it on toast
you can always tell there's gonna be a marmite reaction when they've gone and spread it thick as if its peanut butter
That's how thick I spread marmite
it takes a mouth years of training to be able to handle marmite properly. the more the better i say.
before i watch
shreddies arent savoury
theyre cereal
'cornwoll'
what are you doing?
drink out of the bottle
not a cup
its pronounced wusta
and the flavour?
theyve lost quite a bit on the trip
8:40
YEP
we definitely need more sugar on this.
maybe 15 grams per 30 gram serving?
Shreddies are not mean't to be artificially flavoured it is more healthy cereal
Exactly
+It's me it's me scfc { savage
To be fair i always cover mine in sugar. Taste way better.
You normally put sugar on your shreddies.
do you fuck !
Fuck no.
Nah m8 if you want sugary shreddies then buy frosted
Oh and one last thing! with pork scratchings.... they salty and crunchy... and supposed to be served with CIDER... because pork and apples! DUUUHHHH
I have never seen anyone do that in my entire life.
He didn't spread the marmite properly he just put a blob on it. I love marmite
I hate marmite, it's a taste thing. I don't like yeast extract products in general.
Who the hell eats crisps one at a time? 3 minimum boy!
Adam Day Day Yes!! You know pal
Becky Bullet Ew ew ew
Becky Bullet No reason really, just having fun :)
coming from england, your reactions in this video are funny as fuck.
+Sam Houghton hahaha thanks Sam
Same man i almost wet my self.
lol me too
Toats
yea man
Not enough salt and vinegar really how much they put in there is enough for England but not for Americans
Itz JoJoToma ikr sometimes I feel that the ones we have in England are too much
I don’t like salt and vinegar
Monster munch is amazing!!
tigertigger5 true!
tigertigger5 yesssss my favourite
tigertigger5 👍👍👍
tigertigger5 ikr
tigertigger5 how can anyone diss monster munch? My sis would pissed off, i also love them and i we don't have them in my country.
prawn cocktail its cheesy 😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😭
I know right cheesy
Its made from tomato but what ever lol.
What king of cheese do they have in America !!!
In the US prawns=shrimp so he had no idea it was a seafood flavor
This killed me😂he was expecting it to taste like chocolate 😂😂
WAT?!?! i always thought our crisps , salt and vinegar in particular, had a lot of flavour
Ye
what not wat
might just be the shipping made all the flavour sink to the bottom of the packet.
Ya I was so shocked
notice the crip bags were over blown looked like they were off .. walkers chrisps taste nothing like other makes golden wonder for me.lol
FACT: Chicken Tikka Masala originated in England, even though everyone thinks it's from India. YAH GO BRITS
joe Was actually invented in Glasgow, it's Scottish
Personally I think you have got mostly all the best ones apart from pork scratchings and marmite also who else cringed when the milk was in before the cereal...
Beef hula hoops. So good
i agree. the best! NOT PLAIN FLAVOURED!!!
+CrazyEverything 101 no such thing as plain flavoured. Those are two contradictory adjectives.
I know right they are so tasty
why did he put the milk in first
This made me smile so much. You put a lot of thought into your taste tests and you make an effort to understand the silly little cultural differences that make it fun. I've seen a few test videos where the person ends up just being judgemental of doesn't make an effort to research what they are trying. Your facial expressions are brilliant by the way!
The key to Marmite is to be subtle. Toast. Butter, and a tiny bit of marmite. Once you get used to it you can increase the marmite intensity. But to begin with, much much less.
Sam Smith When I saw him tell his buddy to try marmite and he scooped a huge dollop out, my hand flew to my mouth so hard i could have knocked myself out cus I knew what was coming. Butter and then a small amount spread thinly is how you do it, especially if you are new to it.
cereal then milk not milk then cereal
Bit like, water then cordial. It's a no no
+Ed Glue I always do water then squash
D hull U wot m8 xD
D hull Yer. My step daughter does that. I hate her as well
P.S. Just so you know, its chicken tik-kah (tikka)
Guyfromwa tea-ka lol
UselessAct! No, tik-kah
its the ih sound, not ee. Dekh bhai, angrezi me 'i' matlabh chota i ki matra. In case you were confused. :P
Guyfromwa no its tee-ka, no one ever says tik-ka
Louis Bryant the word is Indian... Tik-kaa
Wuss-ter sauce and tee-ka.
Couldn't have said it better
Perfect mate :)
They should do Red Leicester and Worcester sauce crisps just to mess with the Americans
FergieTheSeagull Haha defo
FergieTheSeagull They wouldn't even know what red leicester is! Did you see his reaction to real cheese? Americans only eat processed.
I just spent half an hour reading some of the comments about this video. Please understand that this guy doesn't represent all Americans. I am American and I DON"T like a ton of fake processed foods or sugar on everything I eat. Also, just like you guys coming to America and trying some of the foods here, it can be weird having never tried it before. I would love to try some British sweets and snacks because I want to see what they are about but if I don't like something I would be quite honest about it but in a respectful way. People please be kind with your words and try walking in someone else's shoes before jumping to conclusions. Name calling is uncalled for. I love ALL people no matter what country they call home. I hope you all have a wonderful day and God bless.
Jennifer Peck Your comment is one of the best I've read in a long time. It's very true what you say, we should appreciate other people's point of view without name calling. I'd love to try some American products. :)
sharondoestaichi Thank you for your reply. It is actually the 1st time someone has responded to me on here. I find so many different countries foods and products so fascinating. I don't know how many videos I have watched over the last year or so on different foods and different markets from other countries. I won't lie, not all American stuff is good nor is it all bad. It just depends on people's tastes and likes. Again, thank you for your response and very kind words. God bless. :)
Jennifer Peck you don't understand how passionate we are about food 😹
Jennifer Peck I guessed. It’s actually amazing how much US food has transferred to the UK in the last few years, Oreo, bagels, huge muffins and also waffles are common here now. Had a bagel earlier!
Jennifer Peck bloody hell lol.
Prawn Cocktail is not cheesy it's just shrimp flavoured
Are you american?
+lexiepopes msp why does that matter😂
+Laughing Penguin because there tomato flavour
Not really, it's more ketchup than fish. Tomato Ketchup being a key ingredient in a prawn cocktail of course
Laughing Penguin I Was just asking a question, no need to get bitchy
I love Marmite :)
same
me too, but even i wanted to puke when that guy took that huge spoonful
Iain Marchant but pa might not
cheddar is an epic cheese and that ale is oh good
james fry I absolutely love Foster's Radler and Kopparberg with fruits and I also like my granddad's homemade wine
james fry and cheddar and Gouda cheese
Koppaberg also have a fruit larger its new out
Yeah that's the one fruit lager I remember now
mmm Branston Pickle is best with cheese
Ikr 😋
+Selina Kraft Hartley yup
Cuz UK food is actual proper food maybe? 😂😂 Used to tasting chemicals or 300% sugar I guess.
Matthew Hickman it’s not proper it’s because he was not born in UK if he grew up there he be comfortable with it
It's pronounced wuster
AdamCoote Gaming lol no its not.
WOOS-TER-SHURE
@TRM_MEDIA 69 is that why we have a higher average IQ than you and make half as many books per year as you despite having about 1/6th of your population?
Everything Adam no, the county is Worcestershire (wuster-shur), the sauce is Worcestershire sauce (often incorrectly called Worcester sauce), the Walkers crisps flavour is Worcester sauce
'It's pretty much a lays symbol' ummmm.... They are the same company but lays is the American version and walkers version came first :)
yes it does, Brits own at this
Britain did do it first
I am not butthurt, I was simply pointing out that what he said was wrong and the way he said it made it sound like he thought they were different companies.
+Active Fire dw mate I think he sounds butt hurt not you haha.
someone should send him some black or white pudding you don't get much more British than that lol xx
But then he would set it on fire and eat it WHILE it's on fire
Not that I'd eat it myself knowing what it is lol
Kathryn Wilton :P
Not going to keep for a week in a room-temperature box though. I actually wrote in the letter that I wanted to send him black pudding (and Cornish Pasties), but couldn't.
Good point Pete x
shreddies are even better with sugar. but I think golden nuggets are my favourite cereal
Katie Septiceye yassss
Golden grahams ftw!
I like cookie crisp
Pickled MEANS dipped in vinegar😂
He kills me with his stupidness😅
*stupidity
+AkMoto irony
The Irony is real LMFAO
I literally make a snow mountain of sugar on my shreddies 😂
You're kinda hot
I used to before getting Diabetis : ( Like a mountain of the sweet white stuff on wheetabix to...awww happy days
+Kerry Kent fail
Facts 😂
Brown sugar or if you're feeling decadent muscovado sugar is even better
Curry and rice ahhh England's finest 😂
Marmite on toast heavily buttered toast topped with a slice of cheddar cheese
This video made me headbutt my table so hard.
+ItsTori mission accomplished
+ImaFlyNmidget can u add my skype erupt_dawn or imsoodawnn try either
+ImaFlyNmidget war-sestur sauce is best sauce
I think pickled stuff in the UK is popular because in WW2 we had to ration everything. but pickled stuff lasts longer I think. so yea.
not trying to hate because I have just subed but u said that "literally everything is picked onion" but in America it is all peanut butter
No I hate peanut butter we have a variety and I believe England has a variety too!
well we got pickled onions, pickled eggs and erm erm and erm, so yeah we just love to pickle over here
+Simon Hancoco pickled onions, picked egg, cockles (in vinegar/pickled) pickled onion crisps in a few brands, Branston pickle, piccalilli, pickled gerkins, American call them pickles lol by the looks of it we do love pickled stuff
im English as it goes...and marmite should carry a warning logo. The product contained here in is probably the most disgusting stuff you will ever eat.Consume at you own risk...we take no responsibility for projectile vomiting...
Agreed
Marmite sandwiches are amazing in my opinion
I saw a vid of American eating a table spoon of marmite!
You need to be very brave to do that. or be on the promise of a lifetime.I would need to be paid a fortune before I would eat the stuff. I tried a tiny bit once..UGH...never again...Trust me...Its is really disgusting.Even worse than brussel sprouts and broccoli ..
agreed
*sees the marmite* *laughs hysterically* *is interrupted by him pronouncing Worcester sauce wrong* Mate... XD.
How is prawn cheesy...?
YOU ARE NOT PROPER ENGLISH UNTIL YOU LIKE ALL OF THEM!!!! MARMITE IS BAE
Siobhan Allan well I am ‘proper english’ and I hate marmite
He put the milk in first...
HE DID IT WRONG!!!!!! HE POURED THE BEER INTO THE GLASS!!!!!
No your beer goes into a beer glass so it breathes ...my grandparents ran a pub once. Drinking beer from a bottle just is not cricket : )
Depends on the beer, a lot of light lagers are good from the bottle. But Proper Job is a bottle-conditioned ale, so if you drink it without pouring into a glass first you'll just end up with a mouthful of dead yeast.
It's fine in the glass just pour the whole bottle don't pussy out with a half glass
+pete48172 tilt the bottle and leave a little of the beer at the bottom of the bottle to avoid the sediment from getting into the glass!
Him trying to pronounce Worcester (War - Chester) Sauce crisps was funny af.
Branston pickle is fantastic!!! I love it!!
Do you spread it on your cat an let the dog lick it off?
Mao Loves ZeDong She has dementia, so she's Nan the wiser
Nice one mr glue xD
haha Marmite is definitely an acquired taste. Even I couldn't stomach spoonfuls of it though - Thinly spread over toast is the way to enjoy it.
Monster munch are my favourite crisps by far
+Ed Glue ask your mum
+THM - dodgy foreplay mate
Frazzles are the best!!
Lit eating them right now
They're not chips. They're corn snacks.
The Worcestershire sauce crisps are pronounced...wuss ter sauce, and are quite an acquired taste.
Jasmine To Crazy Close..:)
Jasmine To Crazy Oopps..lol
From Yorkshire, where the sauce is from, it's pronounced wuh-ster-sher
Obviously Him You're correct, down on the south coast we seem to have dropped the shire part and refer to it as above.
I remember once seeing an advert where an American asks for it and calls it "War-chester-shire-sauce", which of course is how it looks.
frogstamper I've heard of that American pronunciation too. It must be the American way of saying it properly.
Who the fuck.... microwaves... a fucking POT NOODLE.
With the shreddies you should put sugar on them is makes them x10 as good
+Kitty cat Queen just buy the frosted version😂
fair play that you just went for it and ate them all
hundreds of years ago, food was pickled to preserve it. Meats were preserved is salt and herbs as were some fish. Probably why alot of Brits go mad for pickles, chutneys and suchlike. Victorian style chutney with cheese, just amazing.
1:13 the took? the tuk? the succ
What the Fuk
curry? maaaaate that ain't no curry. that's bullshit don't eat curry or rice from a goddamn packet, it has to be made fresh! that really really pissed me off.
Waqas Ali 😂
chicken tikka masala was invented in Scotland, so its a British curry.
+TheStgmp44 that's not confirmed mate, it was either Scotland or south Asia ✋
I know my friend Bding told me that
+Waqas Ali who cares where it was made its the best curry
does anyone want to tell him what cockles actually are?
no? nobody? okay xD
Maryland
microwave a potnoodle haha I facepalmed so hard
What do u do?
+Jasmine To Crazy Literally just pour in a specified amount of boiled water.
+Karl Wilson As a student it's all I eat ....
I loved that video! You were so respectful even with the things you didn't like and when you said the cereal wasn't 'American enough' for you, I laughed because it's just the best way to sum it up! Marmite isn't tasty to me either nor the cockles but Branston is the bomb (in Phantom)! Going to check out your other videos now to see if you liked our sweeties...
Try frosted shreddies they are so good, they are sugar coated
Yeeeeeesss!!
+The Vault Dweller aren't they called frosted wheats?
nah i dont think so?
+Daniel Walker frosted wheats are a thing but they are a different cereal
the coco shreddies are nice as well and you get a bigger box than the frosted ones lol
keep up the vids, you need more support then you get, love you man.
+ninja master Thanks dude! Means a lot
+ImaFlyNmidget the reason for the food tasting bland is because over the pond we use natural flavourings and not many chemicals
I'm from Cornwall. And that proper job beer is just perfection. The same brewery does one of my favourites called 'Tribute' and it's brewed a few miles away from where I live.
Worse-ta-shire Sauce
Where is the McCoys crisps?
Cheddar: i sleep
Pickled onion and cheddar: real shit
Pickle and cheddar: *A S C E N D E D*
Should of gave him a pint of Carling
But Carling is Canadian...
Zak Wheeler Just in case you still think its Canadian *(Carling brewery was founded by Thomas Carling in London, Ontario, Canada, in 1840. In 1952 Carling lager was first sold in the United Kingdom; in the early 1980s it became the UK's most popular beer brand)* So its Parshly British
you put too much Marmite on the toast and you need butter on it first, then the thinnest of scrappings of Marmite.
My dog loves worcester sauce crisps, or any kind of crisps. He opens the packets by himself. Takes them and runs away all happy that he's got food and a packet to play with afterwards.
Savoury*
can't even spell our language correctly.
What exactly does that extraneous U bring to the party? Does it make the word sound different, or is it just a waste of ink?
Brandon BP no. It's our way of spelling it
Brandon BP It's correct... that's what it brings.
which is why the US is 29th in basic literacy...
yah.
Yui Rio It's correct English, that's what it is.
GamerDares wins it seems I'm too stupid to even know correct English
I love marmite crisps but hate marmite if that makes sence
Because the flavour is crisp flavouring, not the spread. And because you're eating the marmite crisp flavouring with salted crisps so it's no where near as potent.
We put a little bit of sugar on cereal like shreddies. The point is you do it yourself rather than have loads of sugar preadded
It's pronounced tee-ka
I felt like crying at this part
+Bran04don13 | Variety Gaming Every British thing that was said or done wrong I cried
Actually no, neither tee-ka or tik-er is right. I cringe every time I hear it on TV 😂
I love marmite, but I actually PMSL @ your mate
Like they say, you either love it or you hate it. Best to have a thin layer, not a huge spoon full like that poor guy had lol.
Pork scratchings are like the ultimate pub snack because they make you thirsty so you go and buy more drinks.
Try the salt n vinegar discos if the walkers arnt enough flavour
Omg yea!!! They burn
+Toni German or salt and vinegar squares
+Mollie Read King yes. OMG I miss them haven't had them in ages
Walkers taste like Lays why? Because they are Walkers, Pepsi bought them from Walkers and the brand name is Lays in most countries outside of UK. So almost exactly same taste.
Although personally I find Lays taste lighter.
JJ's Life so lays are basically a cheep walkers? Thought so.
I love how you where up for trying out our British snacks. You're awesome. subscribed
I like the chicken and mushroom pot noodles
