I grew up in Winnipeg where alcohol was the same way. We could only buy hard liquor and wines at the LC or Liquor Commission (I think that is what the c was for). Their hours were decent , from 8am - 10pm and closed early on Sunday. then there were places called beer stores. Most beer stores were run by a bar. At the beer store you would find a selection of beers and coolers like Mike's hard lemonade. Their hours were more favorable though, being attached to a bar and generally had hours from 12pm-2/3am. Earlier on Sundays. The booze in the snow trick is common here in Canada. We call it the Canadian cooler.

As an Aussie living in Sweden i find it weird they want to crack down on alcohol but still sell light versions in supermarkets and petrol stations, whereas in Australia the bottle shops are always open but you cant buy any in supermarkets and petrol stations. I also think it's strange you don't need to signal turning left in a roundabout.. blows my mind. The amount of accidents i almost had thinking people are going straight and they take a sharp left with no indicator

Never visit Sweden in winter, especially in February when we are tired and cranky after months of cold and crappy weather; bit of advice from our friends in Stockholm. Best time to visit Sweden is during their summer, especially late June and all of July in which the weather is warm, the days are long and the people are chilled and friendly. The Swedes love a drink or two or three ...... Systembolaget is a classic. Yes, it's government run as you said. The best bit is queuing up on a Friday afternoon prior to the 20:00 hrs closing time and seeing people loaded up with trolleys of grog in preparation for the forthcoming weekend, to get around those crazy opening times of the Systembolaget. Love the Swedes, but only a Swede can understand Swedish logic, after all they did ban Skippy all those years ago.
Seeing this a year later but you kind of visited Sweden during the worst month of the year haha You should visit Gothenburg during the summer since the city is more alive during the summer months and you could then also participate in the Midsummer celebrations
@@marcoroamsYou should! Summer is a must! The city is buzzing during summer time and during midsummer people are losing it 😂I am surprised no one talked to you while you were here. People here in Gothenburg are very social and friendly compare to other swedish cities but maybe it was because it was November 😂 I am not a fan of MAX - I prefer good old Mcdonalds 🤣
What the heck Marco, why are you eating that snow beside the walk way...ewww If you want to taste snow go to forest it's really clean..beside the walk way some people specially foriegner spit on the side specially men some spit in the bushes...yuckkk man
Yes they do clean the graffiti from time to time...lol cuz young people are so wild that they have no respect with the government property even the tramp is not secure with graffiti..lol
Ahhh…I mean I wouldn’t go back, I just wanted to see it for my part Swedish heritage and I’ve always wanted to visit, but it’s extremely quiet and not much happening there in the winter.
The difference of the ambiance between this country and the Philippines is insane. Almost seems a city with no life and no color even though they are rich.
I absolutely agree … you put that so well. I was there for a month and no one spoke to me and nothing happened … It was a bit of a shock. As I am part Swedish
