The dropdown on a comment does include a "report" option, but it would seem it only appears in repos that you have at least one commit/merge in. The solution appears to just be letting it be an option in the dropdown for comments that tag you.
In my opinion, any website that allows user generated content, and doesn't have an easy way of reporting abuse, has no business allowing user generated content on their website. Having had run aground of a new social media site just recently, that had ZERO report options, where a user had been peddling illegal images (you know the kind), made me sick to my stomach. HOW in the year of our tech overlords 2024, do we not have a report option baked into every UI/UX by this point?

Wouldn't github users be more or less the worst target audience for scammers? They're pretty much all into tech. Which means they're more aware than others about scams. Heck they even have more tools than most to deal with them.
Yes, I did generate the Art using Dall-E 3, but the difference between that and AI Spam is that I didn't spam anyone with it. I used it for my article because I thought it looked cool and have no artistic ability myself. I don't think the tools shouldn't exist just because they can be used for bad, AI is coming whether you or I like it or not, so we need to figure out how to deal with the bad before it gets really bad.

The problem with this is that beginners get thrown into spam filters
deservedly
This and it should be separated.
Github allows themselves to be a repository of some sort.
So they actually have a duty on that.
@@asagiai4965 But beginners with legitimate questions are marked as "spam" and "trolls".
Can we just opt out on anything in content that has "cryptocurrency" in it? Especially, if you're not developing on Web3 projects?

I think adding "verified bots" to each repository would solve a lot of this. Then, just lock it down based on a bunch of predicates
I _was_ wondering what wordpress devs are doing these days.
Twitch has a decent mod platform but doesn't have a specific chat for only moderators. That's something I want

One solution is if the comment hits enough flags, contact the lead maintainer of the repo, and hide the comments from anyone else
I'll probably just turn off email notifications if the spam continues. I don't have an urgent need to know what´s happening on github.
