Devdutt Pattanaik is an Indian mythologist, speaker, illustrator, and author, known for his writing on Hindu culture. We already had him in our Hindi podcast which was yet another gorgeous episode.

In this episode of The Ranveer Show, we break down the different types of cultures of the world and what were the instances that made it part of that particular culture. This one is deep down of Devdutt's mind into what knowledge he has gathered throughout the years of intensive reading and writing. Being extremely proficient with topics like mythology, the Indian culture, concepts like a rebirth, black magic, ghosts, etc... this episode personally helped me to clear some of my most curious questions.

But you are disappointed because your religion beliefs get hurt, you should have different approach too instead of believe blindly and without proper proofs in religion. this comment section didn't pass the vibe, Devdutt Patnaik is a man who interprets history in a very different way and sees things differently, all of us see things differently. In this particular video, this man provides so much more insight into how things might or might not have worked back in those days. If you don't agree with him it's fine, but the essential idea is to accept that people might perceive things differently and probably learn a thing or two from them. Because if you want a world that thinks exactly like you, then that would be a stagnant world, even I may not agree a lot of times with Devdutt sir but doesn't mean I'll deny what he says and disrespect him. He always talks of our culture in a very positive light, just the tone of thought is different. Probably the video's title should not be ''Truths of Hinduism" and rather interpretations as truth is a highly bolder word. And this comes from a person like me who has immense faith in Shree Krishna and Lord Shiva and is all about understanding the Indian culture.

personally - This is a good podcast, guess most in comments had no time to watch it or may be they had. There is a lot to learn from this, if u think I am a fan of Dev dutt's work, yes I am. I also know he is wrong many times, I also do watch people's content who say he spouts nonsense.

It is really important that we see both truth and lies before we conclude something as truth. I really liked that Ranveer choose a host who is basically against Ranveer's own ideas and beliefs on Hinduism or history of our culture. That's how we grow to be more tolerant.

Kind of a communist historian, like Irfan Habib, or Romila Thapar etc. I love TRS but won't watch ones with Devdutt patnaik. We can learn more about true history and myths through Abijit Chavda than him.

These things are so much better understood by Puri Shankracharya, who explains extremely common questions in a subtle manner with authentic explainations.

He talks about the hindu culture from a different perspective, he doesn't fixate on a certain pov and explores all angles of the belief, keeps an open mind and offers acceptance to other ideas as well, I feel that is indeed something to learn from him. Not only he talks about religions, he talks about spirituality, history, human nature, modern world and his ideas are so refreshing to hear. He articulates everything in a very poetic and understandable way, I absolutely loved this episode!

All mythologies are about the same gods in different names with slight change in the concepts . True Biblical Christianity is not the Christianity we see for the 1700 years , post Constantine era. Roman Catholicism is trinity gods worship which is refored to as Father ,Son, and holy spirit. That is not the Trinity of Bible. There are no pictures or statues of them. Holy Spirit of Bible is SPIRIT whereas the holy spirit of Catholicism is the goddess which they named Virgin mary who is not Mother of Jesus Christ who is pure human .Who will give her worship for two thousand years ?

1.) Mahabharat: dwarika under water and bhagvad gita and the presence of chiranjeev
2.) Ramayana: palk strait a bridge of stone that floats and footprints of lord hanuman and shlokas
