Maplestory GM Hacked today by ECKO! OMG! ECKO STRIKES AGAIN!

- Today, Saturday February 27th, 2010, a Maplestory GM was hacked by ECKO!
The GM's name was "RavenSCA" and got hacked and was smega ing
all kinds of messages for 1 hour. No Nexon staff was on site as it was the weekend
nobody works apparently. Louis Vuitton Guild members were also getting
disconnected. Wow, first IP Bans, password campaign fail, and now a GM getting
hacked. Nexon better shape up or ship out.

In this case he didn't even hack it. The GM put his pass and username accidently onto the event bar that runs across the screen. Ecko was merely the first one to get onto it.

Oh, and also I heard Ecko didn't hack the GM. There was like a smega or server notice revealing a GMs user/pass and Ecko just happened to get to it first.

Dude, I remember when this happened years ago. Ecko came in Khaini as well and started spamming that GM's account info. I had got the info and logged in and flipped tf out, but if I remember correctly, that's when they first introduced the their PINs into Maple and someone changed it before I had the opportunity to play as the GM character.

yea that was pretty heavy weekend... my main got hacked sitting in fm last weekend and it never dced me and they took my good shyt and spent like 20k nx for me on crap i didn't want... i was told it was someone named VPMS... any word on that guy?
I was there, the GM posted their info on the top yellow part, I forgot what it was called, the announcement rectangle or whatever.
He posted the User And Password, I was really wondering how Ecko got his Pic though.
He just kept giving GM hats to his other character. XD. So funny :D.
I took a screenshot with him, and he actually spoke to me!
He kept using the Megaphones to say ECKOOWNZECKOOWNZ. :D Haha. Best Nexon fail ever!

Did they do anything to unban players?
actually i reset the pin by sending the reset link to my own email via reset exploit. pics were released that same week, however, the account still had a pin assigned to it.

also happened to "wizet" gm bandit in 2003 (this was before global was out and the same day maplesea was released) .. they mass blackbagged ellinia forest.. still got the screenshots :D

What happened was when RavenSCA posted an announcement, he posted the Username and Password of his account.
But he forgot his pin, so I have no idea how he got on. :3

yeah their support sucks in general right when i got my NL to 120 about 4 years ago i lost my account have been trying to get it back ever since lol my latest ticket has been "work in progress" for 1 year and 19 days.

Joo Myung lol this guy isn't a hacker because he got court and got IP banned I've hacked multiple Gm's accounts not on Maple Story but on other games such as Lost Saga, Elsword, Zone 4 Fight district( the real reason why that game closed down was because I hacked almost every single GM's account soo many times and they couldn't trace me back and I cost them soo much money because I sent items to myself while covering my tracks) I also hacked peoples COD PSN and Xbox live accounts without them even knowing they didn't give me any information and I didn't have to ring up to get their information I just hacked them just like that and changed their password to something like: you suck big boy dick and I've never got caught once while hacking while this novice did so you can't really call this dumbass a hacker the reason why we are called hackers is because we never get caught this guy is not a hacker but a wannabe know the difference!...

THIS IS THE TRUTH ON WHAT HAPPENED. A GM POSTED THEIR INFO ACCIDENTALLY ON THE NEXON WEBSITE. NOW ECKO WAS ABLE TO OBTAIN THAT INFO LIKE MANY OTHERS. HE THEN CRACKED THE GM'S PIC (WHICH OTHERS WERE UNABLE TO DO).
AND THEN HE GAINED ACCESS TO THE ACCOUNT. END OF STORY.

think of it this way. A Hacker is only a artist making creative ways to change a gaming experience. Along with the fact that Nexon messed up maplestory as it is so why not payback Nexon by hacking it? It's only karma at work here

The funny thing is a lot of people who play maplestory apply to be GMs and believe it or not they are just as bad with their account as any other mapler.

@ps3rulz13 I beg to differ. Anyone was able to obtain the GMs pic by cracking it. I don't think you understand how common it was for PIC cracking, it was honestly the most common "hack" used in maplestory for awhile. He most likely made his own which cracked the pic 10x faster then a free version. So therefore he got it before everyone else and gained access to your account.

That was the day i also quit the game. I was forced to quit because of the same reason as many other people. I had only one character but lvl 102 which was damn hard to get in that time, i played for about 1 year. And i wasn't playing regulary, nvm that but the thing is i am from Europe and i find GMS the best MS version so when i was perm banned i rage quit MS and never returned until some day in 2012 i just checked to see what changed and reliazed i can't make acc because i'm from EU! The End.

@MsGirlyRapper I'm 20 and I weigh 206lbs, I work 5 days a week ranging from 12 - 14 hours, I workout during the weekends, and I am usually busy studying all the time. I only play games when I have the time. You're still a kid so nothing you do counts.
