I think the nut under the grey knob needs to be tight. otherwise the switch will become loose by every day use, until the little flap loses contact with the plastic. I hope this makes sense ;-)
+TumzDK Hm yes that's something to keep an eye on. Yet when I do tighten the nut, the grey knob can hardly be moved... so it shouldn't be tight-tight in any case.
FYI, that's a rotary switch, not a potentiometer.
