Question: Is English enough for basic communication and getting around, or did you use Google Translate or any other means for translating English to Japanese?
Great question. English was fine for communication in almost every place I went. Everyone was kind as I showed pictures and gestured. I was able to communicate. I used the camera feature on google translate ALL THE TIME for signage. But no need to have anything but google translate and google maps really and you’re golden

@@ThePerfectWalk The flight and hotel costs were cheaper except fot the first trip's flights, because I added too much unnecessary stuff and the Osakan hotel costs were similar to your average price.

Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Fukuoka - the south was cheaper - seemed like chains but I wasn’t sure
They all had “single rooms” for one person
How did you get around not speaking the language/ reading the language?

I was spending about 3000 bucks during my one week trips and about 5000 bucks during my 2 weeks long trip in Japan.
