Very informative. Thank you for this budget compilation. In which city did you get the business hotel room for around 45 USD? And was it a chain hotel?
Question: Is English enough for basic communication and getting around, or did you use Google Translate or any other means for translating English to Japanese?
Great question. English was fine for communication in almost every place I went. Everyone was kind as I showed pictures and gestured. I was able to communicate. I used the camera feature on google translate ALL THE TIME for signage. But no need to have anything but google translate and google maps really and you’re golden
Great post, was waiting on this video after seeing all your streams and stories. Hoping to do the same trip in the fall, since I recently got the ULA dragonfly and rock it with Aer day sling 3. How was commuting overall with one bag travel?
@@ThePerfectWalk The flight and hotel costs were cheaper except fot the first trip's flights, because I added too much unnecessary stuff and the Osakan hotel costs were similar to your average price.
Thanks for this breakdown of all costs, planning a trip to Japan myself it's a great help. Now all I have to do is save up! 😅
You bet!
Thank you for taking my comment and considering it!
Appreciate it.

How much would I need in CAD for a month in Japan to have fun and everything. With friends?
So hard to say - I don't know what you and your friends do - and where you'd be staying - very hard to say!

Nagasaki, Hiroshima, Fukuoka - the south was cheaper - seemed like chains but I wasn’t sure
They all had “single rooms” for one person

Not bad at all - as long as you don’t mind wearing the same thing a few times!
How did you get around not speaking the language/ reading the language?
Google translate! Easy stuff with that amazing app.
I was spending about 3000 bucks during my one week trips and about 5000 bucks during my 2 weeks long trip in Japan.
Seems about right! Anything really different about your expenses vs mine? Or similar?
