You're a bleeding life saver, my van would start up nice, idle for a bit then die again. I was about to start pulling injectors before I saw the EGR might be the fault. Thing was seized good and proper but the WD did the trick beautifully. Many thanks
I can't thank you enough, I have subscribed liked the video....my van wouldn't start unless jump started by pushing ...watched your video and walla the egr was stuck a bit of ew40 and I'm back at work...will take a day off now just to clean the whole manifold...Thank you a million times
I have a vauxhall combo 1.3cdti had engine light come on so checked code which came up as egr valve malfunction so i will try the wd40 method first cheers Geoff.
Mine has stuck 3 times now, been to the garage each time who have freed it up like you showed, but now it's happened again and they said without taking it apart because it's a closed unit which will cost another £400 they won't know if it's just stuck or broken and that you can 'only get these from the manufacturer' which apparently costs a bomb (been quoted something like £2500 for labour and the part). Is it possible to buy these from a supplier for a lot cheaper than they are stating? Thanks for the video.
Great informative video! I have the vauxhall combo 1.3 cdti and I have the car with spanner through it, comes on every now and then, any thoughts on what is making it come on? The van drives great
You van needs a service. If you want to stop the service icon do this: Ignition Off. Hold Trip Reset In. Turn on Ignition. Still Holding Trip Reset wait for three (or maybe four) dashes. Turn off Ignition. Turn on Ignition
I've got the 2011 Corsa 1.0 and I've currently got a P0107 fault code for the MAP sensor which when I've replaced makes the engine run terribly/not at all. I've been told that the EGR valve could be causing the actual problem. Have you got any experience/advice/thoughts on my scenario? Great video regardless
I tried this.... it doesn't work in the real word. my egr was stuck closed best to leave it that way and replace. I ended replacing the egr myself and tbh it wasn't that bad. I'm happy to help anyone whos stuck!

You could try unplugging the EGR valve.
Is this the 1.3cdti engine?

Hi what did you have to remove to get access to motor for the valve ? Thanks great vid .
Diesel filter m8
Bit of a nightmare to get to but the wd40 worked fine no more engine light on dash massive thanks 👍👍👍👍👍
That would be a really awkward sod to replace 😕
How did you remove that big plastic pipe? Also what torx size are the 3 little bolts?
