This poor little truck deserves a chance even if it seems a bit silly to put more money into it. I’m adding a few dollars to the silliness budget and look forward seeing the results!
You never got further on it? To bad cause i got some ideas for it. Raise that front arm thingy. (is it called a trailing arm). That esc and controler has got to go. And yeah basicaly it need portal axcels but that would make it expensive.
Pretty much, or their equivalents. Banggood has sent me several different cheap ESCs that we need to use, including the ESC70, but I think we'll save that one for another build. You're on the money though, we'll keep it cheap!
I see this as a great starter. It forces you to learn how critical throttle control & wheel placement are. Both essential fundamentals for successful crawling. It's also a very good chassis to upgrade & learn your own wrenching skills. My personal recommendation for a major, though not necessarily expensive, upgrade is a fully featured transmitter & a handful of receivers. The ability to keep multiple vehicles on one radio, & the immense volume of custom & fine tuning it allows pays dividends far beyond the cost.
Oh I agreed with you completely. Just said 'almost' so I could slip in a cheeky reference to an older video that seemingly disagreed with you (but really I do agree with you - your reply was too fast for me at I was still getting the link for that video onto the comment). Cheers :)
All good! Hope today is good. I go to bed now but tomorrow we drive 3x SCX6s and I build a CC02. I took all of September off and now it's back to working on RC-TNT. Looking forward to making some fresh footage! This video was the last of my August holiday prep material so it's time to get to work again :)
Great job. My Rc friend. Your improvements has made this budget Rc truck very capable. Just show's what can be done on a tight budget.. Big Thumbs' up from me..👍🦾💯
I enjoyed the video because I can learn about how to improve any crawler. You put in a lot of time and effort into this crawler. You have taken on a challenge. I admire your dedication. Have you trued any other cheap crawlers. I know it's a different animal, but have you tried the Redcat Danchee Ridgerock. It's about 140 U.S, dollars. Your video is educational.
Thanks, glad you're enjoying this! I haven't done the Ridgerock and probably won't since they're hard to get here, but @SonoranScaleStudios has a whole series on it that's worth checking out!
Where’s the Dumbo and 1080 esc upgrade..?? Justification for the extra $$ on the Hobbywing being: at this point it can always be used on your next RC, and it just works.
Too expensive for this most budget of builds. I have 1060s, 1080s, Fusions, AXE systems, etc, all in boxes ready for projects. The problem is a 1080 would totally blow the budget for this cheapest-possible new crawler! That plus a Dumbo radio and you've spent 2/3 or more of the purchase value of the car. So you're right, but it also just didn't work for the theme of this series :)
The wheels are vented already. Replacing the tires would be a logical upgrade, though it would cost 2/3 as much again as the rest of the mods combined so far, which is why I didn't do that. Was really trying to keep the price down as much as possible.
Sometimes when it comes to tinkering, the cheapos can be the most enjoyable. So much room for improvement and easy gains! Very satisfying.
Ah, so true!

Heh thanks Scott. It's gonna be cheap but I'm pleased to keep chipping away: for Science!
You are doing a great job showing off this truck! I keep thinking about picking up one of these to try out!
Thanks! It's just a cheap little thing that you wouldn't usually look twice at but with some work it's really not too bad at all.
It's a good little truck. you will have fun with it.👍

It has to be, a Dumbo radio, and an ISDT ESC70? Such good progress, for not too much money so far. 👍🏻
Those would be my best guesses for cheap upgrades. A FS GT2 from an RTR could also be a cheap upgrade for a rx/tx

My neighbors = who are you cheering for so loudly?? Me = Lil Remo on problem 5 ‼️ 😆 Another great video ‼️👍👍👍
Lol nice, thanks for sharing that :)

Agreed, for the most part! (ruclips.net/video/nJq1SyGSMAs/видео.html )
But yes, very well said and I do agree!

Based on my experiences thus far.
I'm always open to education whenever possible.

LMAO. Sorry mate. Just cracking daylight in my part of the states. So I guess my coffee has me a bit trigger happy. 🔫🤠👍

10:08 whoa! Actual tire deformation!
Heh, yeah they're not entirely rubbish!
Great review.
I am thinking of getting one myself. 🤩
Cheapest RTR crawler out there - new at least, anyway. Needs some work but it's not bad after that.

I wonder, could you modify the hard stops inside the radio and get more steering angle?
Dude. That's an amazing question I hadn't even considered. Full credit to you in the video if this works. I'll look into that today! Thank you!
Hola, puedes poner un video de como has puesto el servo en el eje? y que piezas has necesitado, gracias
Esto no es exactamente lo que querías. ¡Pero espero que sea útil!: ruclips.net/video/P2KYkhYhPdY/видео.html

Hello from southeast alaska them wheels look sick
Thanks, they're cheap but great!
@@RCTNT they looked like has good traction control though
The extra weight is good, yes. Those stock tires aren't so bad!
You still have not done anything about the tires. Venting them would be good, for sure a softer compound...
