I'm sitting in my hot tub, on my back deck in Buffalo, NY, watching this in a snowstorm. Winter is the best time to hot tub. Getting out can suck. Lol.

Perhaps someone already mentioned it but when water freezes it's volume expands by about 9‰ which is why it can wreak havoc in plumbing. But winter is the best time for hot tubbing imo. The cold air and warm water combination is magical.

Hello Mr campbell, I just recently purchased a life smart ls350 Plug and Play 28 jet hot tub, I purchase every single product that you recommended whether it be shocked bromine tablets versus chlorine, etc, thank you for the recommendations. However I have two questions, first question what is your opinion on life smart hot tubs, and second question is recommendations on thermal/heating covers? I think the lifesmart hot tubs are designed to be energy efficient and have good covers, I wanted to double up and add in a thermal cover if you recommend it, thank you so much I love your videos
I moved to new home and this home has hot tub outside. It’s by south sea spa - artesian. I have no clue to it works and it’s already winter so i want to shut this tub until summer. Also i got a gas utility bill upto 400$ this month. Is it because of hot tub? It was on for a whole month. Does it use gas for hot water? Pls help
I’m currently debating whether or not to get a Strong Spas Hit Tub, because it is just what fits in my budget right now. Are these hot tubs actually worth it?

I don't think you're winterizing properly. You should put a hot tub antifreeze in there too. There will be areas that will not be drained in the pipes. They will expand and they will crack. Your heater will not be the low point so doesn't really matter unscrewing though union fittings. I would take a turkey baster and squirt the antifreeze in all the jets and various drains after you drain all the water. Should get to all those low points if there is water remaining. Really look at the pipes if you are able to though with the paneling off and see where those low points are and how you can get the antifreeze into them if they don't drain.

I think you changed your approach on your newer videos more animated with your hands. I have been following you for over a year but my only feedback is I think it is distracting it takes away from all the good information you share.
unlike the earlier vids your a bit rushed...as a wize man once stated, "one who moves with haste can not move with dignity. "... your earlier videos are proof

My hot tub is in my screen in porch. I never turned it off. Especially in the winter- that the best time to use it.

Ok great advice for Texans. Now advise Minnesotans. Its relatively warm this January. Forecast shows -12F for next Monday.
Use it year round or don't get one .

Where to get roll away cover for 12ft swim spas?
Why would you shut it down in the winter? That's when you need it the most

We just moved to Texas and have a hot tub. I asked someone if we needed to winterize it. They said, "No. Also, we don't do 'winter' here."
