Every time I think about this game, it just hurts more and more remembering it's gone. I made some amazing friends, and I couldn't even say goodbye when it closed. I was on a cruise with no internet. The game averaged 5000 to 6000 people online during the day, and the game kept growing, it wouldn't stop growing. Yet Disney said they didn't have enough people, comparing their user numbers to World of Warcraft. Then, they went on to buy Club Penguin for 700 million dollars, and they never made their money back. They (thankfully) lost hundreds of millions. They could have introduced a membership model to VMK, but they refused and thought Club Penguin was a better investment. They could have made over $1000 from me alone to this day off of membership. I am glad that this decision has cost them, and me for one, I have boycotted Disney since 2008. I will never use a Disney product ever again, and I will never let my children watch Disney movies or use Disney products because of the most idiotic marketing decision in the history of online games. Don't they dare ever think people will forget.
Something about that game made it so fun. Something you won't find in Habbo or Club Penguin or other games. Just the game, with it's graphics and room decorating features made it so fun. It felt heartwarming to play unlike others. Something about it was unique. I wish it were back =(

Today my friend and I found a site that let us explore the familiar places of vmk, you couldn't play it, but it brought back so many memories, not gonna lie we had a couple of tears. VMK was brilliant, and so many people played and it was possibly one of the best games around. I would probably jump right on it if it was back.

VMK was hella fun back then. I thought it was better than Habbo Hotel. The games, especially the Haunted Mansion was one of the few times I've ever had so much fun on a 'browser' game.

I was 16 when I played this game, just cause it was friggen awesome. I mean, it's disney! I wasn't concerned about making friends, the items were cool, the quests and the rooms too. Now there's a beta version that just started this November 2013. It REALLY in beta mode, but they have the fireworks game, the jungle cruise game and you can collect clams as well in that captain's quarters room. I'm waiting for them to add quests and rides. It's still fun, but not as fun as the original obviously.
funny how she said sept. 30th like the old cards said :) personally i think they should bring it back as part of the D23 fansite where disney fans can interact and such since both audiences seemed largely the same maybe d23 membership would be like a vmk membership so they would get certain features others would not or something idk. i cant tell you how much i miss this game :( i worked so hard to get pixels for rare clothes and tried quests again and again to get that little car, and those special quest item, and the awesome rooms i created i dont even remember how many i had thats how many i had, waiting in line for peoples events, seeing peoples rooms, playing all those game with diff people, diving into the big pool... just so much stuff i worked for all gone now thanks to disney and sulake's stupid asses :(

its a program where you sign up to live and work in Disney world for 4 months and you get paid and get college credits, i heard its one of the best experiences ever but you have to be 18 and up and completed at least 1 semester of college. i cant wait till next year so i can start applying lol
If I was a billionaire I would try to reopen vmk and make it even bigger and better... it reminded me of the show avatar (such a great show) but I accepted the ending because its a show and i can watch it again, but VMK was a fantastic website much safer for many users and the concept was none other than brilliant, but it ends there.. if I had the money I would invest in this site because the experience is nothing you can take back!
I play 25 hours without sleeping i stay up very late heh IT was so fun and they had to ruin the fun and break friendships up ... i had a very special girl on there Pandacup she is so special to me now i cant see her anymore.

People say that I just need to get over it and move on but I still haven't gotten over VMK closing. I have moved on in life.. but it doesnt mean ill forget about VMK.
