WWF and WCW face off after SmackDown goes off the air. This moment is mainly known for the beatdown on Buff Bagwell, which would end up being his last appearance in the WWF.
In case you're wondering, they're replaying Buff getting clotheslined and powerbombed in the production truck.
After 22 years people can finally see this footage.
Makes you wonder what could have been.

If Buff never got fired by WWE, he probably would have been in the mid card and been apart of WWE's version of the NWO in 2002.

Supposedly, nobody in the locker room, not even the WCW roster, liked Buff. According to Bob Holly's shoot interview, Buff would be late to the house shows, arriving right when it started and never tried to fit in with the locker room. To make matters worse, Buff had an altercation with Gregory Helms and that was the final straw. Jim Ross allegedly ordered Bob Holly, Bradshaw, and Ron Simmons to "take care of him". As you can see in this video, they did what they were told to do, they stiffed him
From what I’m learning, Jim Ross was a dick. He ruined Bart Gunn’s career in the wwe.
What a way of destroying talents. Buff really had the short hand of the stick. What a shame he could have been great in WWE

WHY did Buff deserve this?? Just b/c of a simple skirmish with Shane Helms? Its absolutely bizarre that he was treated with this level of disrespect. He took the WWE contract "buy out" and lost substantial money b/c he wanted to come into the company and contribute. The match against Booker T was fine, far less botches than we see in today's WWE and AEW product. That match only "sucks" b/c the crowd hijacked it and booed it out of the building.
I believe Buff Bagwell was the longest term WCW wrestler at that point other than Sting, never had spent a day in the WWF. I think Vince McMahon couldn't even stand the sight of him

I was under the impression that his last appearance was the match with Booker T when Kurt angle and stone cold threw him out of the building, I did not know this happened. They really did him dirty.

Tbh, out of all the WCW guys that came in through the buyout, the only ones that I really knew of were DDP, Booker T, Buff Bagwell, Chris Kanyon, and Billy Kidman. The rest I didn't know crap about until much later. That right there should tell you how much the Invasion angle as a whole sucked.

Playing his music whilst he walks out beaten. That was all set up to embarrass him. He got too big for his boots and he thought he was going to be in the big matches. You can tell he knows it’s a set up
He SHOULD have been in the big matches. Along with DDP and Booker he was the only notable name in that group, and he was a big name in WCW. I don't think any of them expected to have the red carpet rolled out but even if they'd signed Hulk and the other big names I would have expected Buff to be one of the main guys.
I lost more respect for those who participated in this than him, I have liked to see them treat Scott Steiner to a cowardly assed assault like this, he'd have shown WCW had it's bully boys, too, and unlike JBL he wouldn't need a bunch of other guys to help him. Someone should shit in his hat.

Unfortunately that will never happen. Bagwell will absolutely never get in because he's hated by the WWE and Luger isn't very well liked by them either. But I can see them putting Luger in after he dies.
