If messi and cristiano had 3 knees injuries that could ended their careers like R9 had, i don’t think both of them could achieve more than R9 did with those 3 major injuries.. The best ever i’ve seen on pitch, and R9 was the joy of football, you’ll never get bored watched his action day in day out, so mesmerizing with full set of skill..

I can pick dozens of iconic moves that have not been replicated since on a pitch. Same with players like van basten or zidane - never gets boring

Ronaldo was an anomaly. I think that's partly the reason why his body broke down on him. You're not suppose to be that strong, that fast, and that technical. I don't think his knees were able to support that kind of pressure.

The ball control was his best skill. He could do anything he wanted with the ball as if it was glued up to his foot. Amazing ball control and precise finishing were his best football skills.

At one specific time no player has ever reached the quality of Ronaldos prime. Some might have had longer or better carreers but none have surpassed Ronaldos level, it was a shame he suffered those injuries.

Probably 50-60% of what he was prior to the injuries.

The ball control was his best skill. He could do anything he wanted with the ball as if it was glued up to his foot. Amazing ball control and precise finishing were his best football skills.
Also I have never seen a player getting past the goalkeepers so easily... he put so many goalies to sit down before his dribbles... probably more than any other player I've seen
At one specific time no player has ever reached the quality of Ronaldos prime. Some might have had longer or better carreers but none have surpassed Ronaldos level, it was a shame he suffered those injuries.

llavero5 dont think its true tbh, more like he has to adapt to a much tough defenders in a prime serie A, were strikers had to build fast and strong despite his talent, thats more like after 98 wc, he doesnt rest much to arrive in italy and has a minor injury due to fatigue and carry on in season 99, similar happen with other great strikers at that time like batistuta, salas, bergkamp. Just look clips for that matches, they have to face guys like maldini, nesta, stam, montero, gatusso, cannavaro etc
I am 18 and R9 is my favorite player and know, that he is better than CR7 and think that R9 is the greatest. I have seen his games (full games) on a CD and highlights on youtube. I have seen the games of CR7 and highlights on youtube, and I think R9 is better.
