One of my room mates was in the service and she had amazing long thick beautiful blonde hair. thank goodness our American Military has no requirement to make and abomination of women in the service! This was a choice for her and well it is not a trauma for her all all and she is pretty and most likely knows full well that she is.
It’s “forced” because as a female, you can only have a set regulated length of hair. If it’s long, you have to “bun” it up and within seconds or screaming drill instructors. She was smart and took it all off so she wouldn’t have to be bothered with fixing her hair or having it falling in her face during boot camp. Thank you for serving.
As a American military barber i discovered that women are drafted into the Philippine Army the same as men and are required just like men to have their head shaved.

The only legitimate reason I can come up with is that this guy is learning to be a hair dresser and needed someone willing to lose all their hair to practice haircuts on. Why else would you spend twenty minutes plus to do a job practically anyone could do in 5 minutes? And do it better might I add..
