thanks so much for this video. my daughter is 9, has only her thumbs, ring fingers, and pinkys on both hands. she has never been able to tie her shoes, and her class mates have had to tie them for her. for a fourth grader this can be pretty demeaning. this tutorial is such a blessing for us to give her a new-found sense of independence.

How to Tie Shoe Laces like a Pro!
1.) Straight thread the lace up to the 3rd hole down from the top.
2.) Then tuck the rest of the lace under the inner soul of the shoe.
Pretty cool huh?
It's really easy to do, and you wont have to tie your laces ever again, it's also great fun!
If you like, you could use some Sugru and and place it on the inside of your shoe and eleminate the need for laces all together!

Great!!! Now I won't take a long time to tie my shoes (my friends' common complaint on me)!! I must use this method! But is the knot strong enough to keep the shoelace tight?
1st video was showing an alternative way to lace your shoes.
2nd video (this video) is to show how to tie the alternative laces up quicker and easier.
but if you can untie it by pulling from the back, won't it j tie it by itself? walking consists of pulling from the back!

I can't fucking figure it out. I want to tie my shoes like this, but now I just have loose lace loops flopping around. What's really disappointing is that you don't explain which way the laces should be knotted (ie, a real bow knot vs. a Granny Knot) So probably only about half the people that tried this are able to do it - simply out of luck.
