Is this the refresh model with the improved larger screen? If so what other improvements is there? O-100 km/h in 6.1 seconds seems quicker than the original. Or was it slightly down hill?
No, it is still the first released model. The road was fully straight. I was very impressed about the 0-100km/h acceleration as well and I have checked it multiple times in the editor because VW quoted 0-100km/h in 7.1sec. One reason could be that I did the acceleration with about 95% of battery charge most electric cars release more power between 90-100%.
@@topdrivepov6716 have you tried the the gte out coz that's what I have just now and I think it's slow when the battery is near empty. I have ordered the id3 family pro performance but have to wait until April. Vw lead times are terrible at the moment.
@@jasonlowes223 I think you mean Golf7 GTE? I haven‘t driven that car. I have driven the golf e (Golf7 gen) and in 2 weeks will be driving the Golf8 GTE. Videos of both cars will be up within the next 2-3 weeks. Your ordered car has the same power as the one in the video it definitely pulls good acceleration feels pretty similar to a BMW I3s.

@@topdrivepov6716 my old leon 2.0 TSI was quicker than what I have just now. But electric is the future and more cost effective so have been swayed.
The Lane Assist is not a Pilot
The purpose was to showcase the lane assist, not to use it as an auto pilot :)
