Fantastic video, Kelvin! I would never have guessed in a million years, that there are two drainage holes like that, feeding water INTO the bell housing. I am having a devil of a time now, trying to get the starter bolts undone without removing the coolant bridge. Yes, I know that that is the proper way to do it, but I have seen online that some have managed to avoid it, and frankly, with all the other disassembly I have already done to this point, if I can avoid dealing with the cooling system too, I will do it.

Thanks. I use a crowsfoot spanner to get one of the starter bolts from the front and a short spanner with a big lever bar for the other. Good luck. Cheers

Hello. As far as I know they are no longer available. I have a few secondhand which I use for my own jobs or I use other covering. Cheers Kelvin

Probably the wrong place to ask but what kind of $$$ would you charge for startor motor replacement as mine has just started making a clicking noise so am unable to start the car. Cheers

Depends on model and condition. Best send details to info@thecartunecompany.co.nz if you want an estimate

Have you heard of people enlarging those 2 block drains?

We have been known to drill them and fit tubes running down and out of the bellhousing so the crap doesn't end up in the bellhousing. Only on 4x4 vehicles.
