my neighbor once used such ramps to load up some wheelbarrows-loads of soil on his truck. he did everything right, even strapped down the ramps to the rear hatch (? what's the right name in english? "Heckklappe" - that part that goes down when opening the trunk). he took a swing, actually shoved the wheelbarrow up, and the hatch came down.
(before you ask - yes i tried to warn him, nope, i was so busy laughing i forgot to film it)

Yes, ramps are a necessity for trucks, but even more important is a truck that won’t break in half because of rust😂😂😂
You will get a better angle of entry for loading with ramps if you disconnect and place aside your tailgate! Never use the ramps against a tailgate!

@@WoolysWorld most trucks have a “raked” stance where the tailgate is about 2 inches higher, removing the tailgate will counter this , and will reduce stress and wear on the hinges and support cables

@@WoolysWorld release the latch, and lower while lifting up and out if it it a quick release type gate

@@WoolysWorld nice thought so , single cab? Need to get a jeep myself but haven't the money, using my Octavia 4x4 estate ATM 😅 vans the cheaper option but I like having the 4 wheel drive for those jobs in the sticks . Would love a land cruiser or Hilux crew cab but they cost a fair wack even for a rough old one here down in Cork . Just found your channel and I've found it helpful, I also have thehonda strimmer and Hyundai blower so interesting to see another perspective
@orenJF excellent stuff, it's a double cab , it's a 2011 I've had it 7 years , it's in the garage ATM for serious rust issues which is common. But it's worth 3 k over what I paid for it ATM ! Yokes are crazy money
