so sanguine is pronounced “sang-win,” and it’s one of my favorite words! haha it means “optimistic in a difficult situation,” which is just so pretty :) it’s also used in literature to mean “blood-red,” which is probably where they got the shade name from. the color (and the whole collection) is so pretty! i really wanna try it

Its primary meaning means "related to blood", since "sang" (pronounced like "sean" like in "Jean") means blood.
It can be an adjective, for example a "sanguine" person is someone who is short tempered.
In colour it depicts a blood like red.
A red orange (the orange fruit) is called a "sanguine" orange, and is usually red looking and more acid in taste.

@@benguercho1363 Actually not to be pedantic but Deepa’s pronunciation is pretty much the one people use (at least dictionaries seem to think so). Sanguine does mean “related to blood”, but it also means optimistic or cheerful because for a long time people believed that the balance of four bodily fluids or “humors” affected one’s temperament. Blood was the humor associated with cheerfulness.

Ha ha. Absolutely all reviewers have mispronounced it in their own way. It's s a great word and pretty much describes the approach to life for most people these days.

This whole collection stunning! I wish I could get something from it, but I'm on a no buy at the moment so I'm sad to miss it. However, if the collection is still around when I'm able to purchase something, I would try to get the first quad or the red blush. It'd be a great way to finally try the brand while getting stunning items on top of a red blush, which I've never had before.
BTW, I would be SO excited if Kaleidos did a collab with you! Fingers crossed that one day it will happen! Your collab with Odenseye is TOP TIER!

So glad I waited for your review! I was already eyeing the lavender and red blushes, but I really love the way the brown palette looked! Very on trend with the 90s aesthetic for brown looks, imo.

kaleidos has some of my favorite packaging.... top 5 definitely. flower knows, kaleidos, girlcult, joocyee..... chinese makeup brands are really killing the game
Besides from kaleidos I never heard the brands you mentioned! So I went on instagram and WOW!! Their products are gorgeous! Specially flower knows and girlcult. I hope Judy and other influencers review them more

TYSM for talking about the dresser! 😁 Nobody else did. I ordered the ENTIRE collection to review myself and unfortunately Kaleidos' shipping takes a good month to get to me in MI so I am anxiously awaiting 😃 I have a strong cool undertone and am beyond ecstatic as cools are SO rare which is frustrating so hopefully this will be everything me and my followers can dream of! 🥰
I love this collection. I definitely NEED Joyride, I'm a sucker for bronzy blush. I love Sunburnt and Sanguine as well though ,and I'm surprised how flattering Dreamwalk is though (usually they look off and you have a similar skintone to me). I also really want Cold Smoke. Thank you for the comparisons btw! The quads are pretty but I never reach for quads and I have similar shades in my collection, so I have to pass on them.

You did such a good job with this video! I can shed some light on why the old blushes were discontinued. Kaleidos received at lot of criticism on the blush duos. The packaging depicted dark skinned women in images/ poses that had certain implications. And despite the dark skinned individuals on the packaging the shades offered were not dark skinned friendly. The brand took the blushes down after the response of their consumer base.

For those who don't know where the "sanguine" word is from, it is french (although it exists in the english lexicon but a few people only know about it, fewer know how to pronounce it XD)
