In this video I show how to use the OTG (On the Go) USb feature on the Samsung Galaxy
UPDATE#1: It also works on Nexus 7 tablet, but just the gaming part, awesome!!
S3.I show how a usb flash can be used when connected using the OTG adapter and I also show how the PS3 controller works on the Galaxy S3 as well. In this video I test the PS3 controller with these games:
- ASPHALT 7 HEAT WORKS!! (Change Controls to Control D & up Sensitivity to 75%)
- Sonic
- Dead Trigger
- Raging Thunder 2
- Reckless Racing 2

@Ryan Boche Thats True, but its $40 for that controller. The OTG adapter is $2.50 & I already have PS3 controller. So ifor me ts either $40 or $2.50, If i can get a cheap one I would later on.

@kittyp0rn On the Nexus 7 you can only controll the games. its not like on GS3 that u can control evevrything. it doesnt really maters if it keeps flashing just start Ded Trigger for ex. and try and play.

Yes, the nexus 7 works with the same cable, but if you want to conect a usb drive, you need to root the nexus and install and app called "stickmount"

On what where you trying this? I ask because NOT all games are compatible with the PS3 controller using OTG.

I cannot get this to work on my Nexus 7, I have the both cables and one is OTG. when I plug it in and push the PS button, the controller just flashes forever and does not respond on the tablet. is there something I'm missing?

I got my ps3 controller to work for my snes emulator, but it doesn't control the galaxy home screen or work in dead trigger. I was looking online it said something about changing the ps3 controller to DirectInput. Do you know anything about that? and when I plug in my controller all 4 lights turn on.

Hm Apple included the possibility to connect Ps3 Controllers via bluetooth in OSX, i don't understand why they didn't include it in IOS.
But i'm sure there will be a jailbreak and than it will be no problem.

i tired this on my Samsung Galaxy S3 . I have the same exact cable as you and i cant event use it for keyboard mouse or anything it keeps disconnecting. and i cant use the controller on any games or even the home screen. so can you please help?and i got the cable last night so its brand new.

Is your S3 the GT I9300 or another variant of S ? I have tried my Otg cable with a sixaxis controller without success. Even reset button didn't get it to work. BTW any pen drive is working with the otg cable.

U can nonnect it but I think that your phone has to be rooted.If it is then download a app called sixaxis controller(its paid but u can download the cracked version)

It didnt work on my S3 but when I tried it I only had 38% of battery left and the cable wasnt mine so I havent had the chance to try it on full battery. So can someone tell me please if it was because of the low battery or is it something else ?
