I'd rather prefer the classic MS experience, you don't need to rely on upgrades and such, you have to rely on your skill at it's peak, no skills, no double jumps, no super-powers, just pure simple and classic experience, seems like Tencent want to destroy a popular 90s and 2000s Japanese R&G game that most of our childhoods have seen

I like how they remastered and added new abilities to some of the new bosses. But honestly the new super abilities off set that by a long shot as seen in the Keesi 2 fight. I honestly wish instead of having like 3 - 4 crab mini bosses (like seriously? I watched a boss fight thing before hand) maybe try using other bosses in their place such as Formor or the Macha Twins. The new named people were interesting but if I have to be honest we really don't need any more. MSA has done enough damage with angering the Metal Slug fanbase. Though one thing has always confused me with the train level and that is 'Why is the final boss of the first metal slug game the mini boss of this segment?'. I was also a bit disappointed when they didn't capitalize on the chance to reenact the eaca-b catch after the Hairbuster Riberts fight. Overall unless the bosses were like newly made for the game any original boss doesn't really stand a chance due to the overpowered super abilities and hp bars for the bosses. It's really not a good introduction to Metal Slug for the newer player base (neither is MSA in my opinion.). But this is the end of my rant.
I actually liked that the eaca-b tried but failed to catch Morden after the Hairbuster Riberts fight. Felt like a nice subversion or our expectations. Otherwise I mostly agree with everything else you said.

@@TheZombie2415 Well yeah MSA is going to have quality pixel art. It's MADE by SNK themselves and some of the sprites they didn't have to remake. They just pulled from the original side-scrolling shoot em ups or are pallet swaps. But metal gear? I think ya mean metal slug. Metal gear is the one that got Solid Snake invited to Smash. But as these two being cash grabs I couldn't agree any more.

Pues está bien el juego pero le quita todo lo difícil de los originales, como por ejemplo el frenesí de los ataques que nos sabes por donde te van a llegar, el no saber cuanto le queda de vida te da mas impulso de que no te mataran, está bien el remasterizado, pero creo yo que van mas lentos los ataques que los originales.
De todo eso, aun quiero probar el juego para recordar años de las maquinas arcade
Antes con un solo disparo nuestro personaje moría. Ahora le pusieron una barra de vida y cada ataque que le da le quita muy poca vida. Será demasiado fácil. Aunque el juego se ve muy bien.

@@mastercuyo8964 al mi parecer no esta nada de malo con los jefes reciclados, verlos rediseñados da nostalgia, pero si estan demasiado lentos y obvios con la alerta que pusieron, para mi quedaría un parche añadiendo mas frenesí para parecerse al original

Wait, does this version have an auto-aim feature? If so, can that be turned off, or is that an innate feature?
Cause I actually had a good time manually aiming at the old Metal Slug installments, I'd be disappointed if they actually made this auto-aim feature a permanently-on feature. 🤣
But it will be a bit good for bosses that need to aim downward like Tani-Oh and Aeshi Nero also weapon that have sucks aim like rocket launcher

Siendo sincero, los únicos jefes de entretenidos de enfrentar, a mi punto de vista, fueron Dragón Nosuke y Iron Nokana, los demás como que los ví un tanto flojos. Pero bueno, el juego está en desarrollo, aún le falta pulir muchas cosas, al menos eso creo.
En el caso de Metal Slug... menos es más.
Fue un error agregar los escudos o las vidas... la verdadera esencia de Metal slug es en su injusticia hacia el jugador (un solo disparo y se acabó todo...)
El juego es de guerra, por tanto es completamente lógico que seas tan vulnerable como tus propios enemigos en su forma más básica (la diferencia, es que tu tendrás más habilidad y mejores armas)
Si dejaran las habilidades no habría tanto problema (y seria mejor si agregaran más dificultad) pero meter los escudos o la vida hace del juego más mediocre... y es una lastima porque los gráficos están muy bien trabajados.
2d metal slug animators used smears and extremes to avoid having to do a lot of inbetweens. this lacks impact because the animations have straight inbetweens. procedural animation keeps it on model, smooth, and clear... looks good at 60fps but it looks flat and lifeless when everything moves at the same speed, with the same emphasis.
i'll probably support it anyways bc metal slug needs games... sonic took 40 games to make another good one so i'm hopeful for metal slug.

even if this is a depressing gacha grind cashgrab im genuinely impressed by how... surprisingly not-bad graphics are and how neatly they translated backgrounds and vehicle designs from original games into 3D.
I mean it's not great but they definitely could do a lot worse (look: metal slug 3D on PS2, good lord)

Also what the heck you can use skill and set a gun like heavy machine gun or flame shot as main gun and it's unlimited ammo *thonk*

@@kironojr you got it mixed up, it's the other way around.
Like here in the video, Banden uses a flamethrower as primary. Yes it is a flameshot but has a bit weaker damage. The flameshot you pick up from a prisoner does more damage just like the OG.
You would notice this almost immediately when you're shooting soldiers. Like it takes 2-3 hits to take down one with your primary, then 1 hits for pick up.

Está bien pero el diseño 3D no se compara con el pixel art del pasado prácticamente se ve muy poco detallado el 3D y demasiado robótico mientras que el pixel se enfoca más en el diseñó por qué se nota que cada cuando está echo a mano...
Además que en pixel art no se ve tan forzado el movimiento... Y no tan raras las poses y acciones

I would have expected that being 3D graphics the machines would look better and be better animated, but it is not the case for all, there are some that look incredibly bad animated, like the Hairbuster or the Mini-beta, and what the hell did they do to the Dragon Nosuke ? It should be twice as big as that thing. The game in general doesn't look bad, but there are details that make it look like poor polish or finish, they eliminated all the different deaths of the soldiers, an important part of metal slug is its humor and variety, it's not just action, always seeks to surprise the player. The gameplay is disastrous, enemies and player have too much energy bar, that auto-aim and powerups, I guess it's the consequence of bringing the game to mobile. I would have liked to see a metal slug like this, on a real platform, better polished and finished, with a more classic but improved gameplay, from a team that trully understands the core and soul of metal slug.
Se ve muy bien pero muy censurado no hay sangre no simbolos politicamente incorrectos como en el original
