    You need to come to Grand Rapids MN and hit Pokegama Tom Boley. There are TANK walleye in the lake, but they a very difficult to get to bite because of the huge amount of bait fish in the lake. Could use someone with your skill level to break down the fall bite!

      Good Point Tucker. Have we gone too far with electronics? Fishing has become all about the numbers, who catches the most and looks good doing it? Fishing becoming like golf, in fishing the winner is who catches the most, has the nicest outfit and best equipment. What challenges do resource managers have to keep fishing on par for the future? Those who have been around the sport a long time don't like to see and realize what fishing is becoming. Sales of outdoor equipment provides management dollars so certainly we don't want to ty the hands of the outdoor industry. All fueled by social media, the desire for sportsman for the "look at me" at what I can do. Last question or comment what are we teaching our kids about the outdoors, certainly stewardship of our resources is "not" on the top of the list....just some food for thought

    • @Stufferburg
      @Stufferburg 3 года назад +1

      @@garykorsgadentreeguy8906 you make some good points. Evolution of electronics and equipment is not going away, this is where I hope (although I’m not optimistic) that our DNR will step in and adjust bag limits and seasons accordingly. Like Tom says in the video, he releases all of his fish and we should too. I agree with him to a point, just because you can catch a limit doesn’t mean you should keep a limit, one or two to keep is more than enough to eat. On some lakes in MN the dnr adjusted crappie bag limits to 5. I think that should be statewide and they should close the season during the spawn. Walleye limit should be 2, one under 18 inches and one over. Promote catch and release and you will preserve our lakes no matter what kind of electronics come out in the future.
