- This week we take a journey back in time and look at some of the activities and interests that we had during childhood. One of Michael’s favorite pastimes was singing, both individually and as a family. Brandon’s favorite pastime was drawing, sometimes being so immersed that he would unconsciously make sound effects for the scene unfolding in front of him. We also highlight the process of our parents helping us with Scripture memory while growing up… something that continues to bless us to this day! #family #childhood #music #drawing #scripturememory

Hi Michaela and Brandon. Love this video and so blessed to hear part of your stories. I watched Bringing up Bates from the beginning and was so sad to see it not renew. It is a blessing to see you and many of your family members on RUclips. This is the only social media that I am a part of and I am very careful with the channels I watch. Being a believer in Jesus it is such a blessing to see you both and to listen to your stories. May God continue to bless you both as you are definitely a blessing to others. My son is 12, and he could NOT get enough of the Quest of Quinton books... they are his favorite of any books, including Hardy Boys and those similar. He begged me for months to get the final book and got so excited when I got it for him. Please, please, please write more!!! God Bless!
