Does any one know why my test scores haven’t arrived yet?, i did the test on Nov 4th ,now is November 22nd, they don’t respond to my emails, or calls, i wanna know why is taking so long
Hello, Josh. I'd like to express my biggest thank you for providing all these materials and instructions. I want to ask one thing. What would you recommend to do, if in the TOEFL speaking you know your position (agree/disagree) but don't have a specific reason?
Hi there and thank you for asking. Here is a document you may find helpful. It is called, How to Think of Reasons and Examples. drive.google.com/file/d/1NpEhd9BLNVKOuOO08LpJ6lA2NSLOZgJO/view?usp=sharing
Thank you so much for these tips! Just got my scores today and got 113/120! (R- 27, L- 29, S-30, W-27), and this too with just 2 days of preparation using your tips and templates! Thanks a bunch! 😊
@@miana1225 Thank you very much! Personally, i had roughly 2 days to prep for toefl. All I did was watch Josh’s videos added on the playlist and followed his tips and templates. Speaking has to be one of the toughest one among the 4 sections since you won’t have much time to write notes. So I highly recommend you to use the templates provided by Tst Prep. Also, don’t forget to state your opinion clearly in the independent speaking section. For eg: “I strongly believe that…”. Plus always support your opinion with relevant examples. That tends to improve your score. During my speaking, I did shutter and repeat few words, plus I had some pauses too. However, I stated my Opinion clearly with my own examples. Rather that speaking quickly, I chose to spoke correctly (grammar and pronunciation), be it slow. I guess that’s why I scored good in speaking. For writing, again, I would suggest you to follow templates provided by Josh. They are very well structured! Use chat gpt to check your grammar and punctuation during practice. During the integrated writing test, make sure you write your own Opinions without repeating what is said in the paragraph. For listening, the first thing you need to do is lock your eyes on your notes, listen and write down important details. Follow active listening- i.e as you listen, try to figure out why you’re listening to it, and what message is it trying to convey. Remember, the more you look elsewhere, the more distracted you can get. Finally, for reading, always read the question first. Find the keyword, i.e the main thing the question is asking. Then find the keyword on the passage. This way, you can save time- plus you’ll have enough time to Re-check your answers. All in all, watch the videos on the playlist. Follow the tips and templates- and give some practice tests. You’ll do good! Best of luck. 🍀

Hey Josh. Thank you so much for uploading such useful content. I just came back from my test I got 28 in Reading and 29 in Listening. I had only 4 days to prepare so I just relied on your tips. I hope my speaking and writing scores are also good. I have a question, at my testing center they asked people to remove jewelry, I have two peircings but I couldn't remove them manually because they are kind of fixed. The staff allowed me to take test but they said they would send ETS a report about it. I'm worried if it causes a problem. I really didn't know about any such rule. Have you ever heard about such cases?

Hello, Josh. I will be taking the TOEFL iBT in 2 weeks in a test center. However, I have a question regarding note taking as the rules are not clear on ETS' website. My question is: can I take notes while listening to all audios of the test, even for the speaking section, or I can only take notes during preparation time? I've been practcing using only preparation time, but sometimes it's hard to remember specific details of what I listened to.
Hi everyone, I'd like to ask u something. The reading and listening score which appeared on the screen after test, is it the real score? How they calculate the score? For example the reading section has only 20 questions how they calculate into highest point scale (30)?
Each section is still worth 30 points, but the number of Reading questions has been reduced. So, the weight of each question has changed, but each section is still worth 30 points.
We recommend paraphrasing the question, but it's not completely necessary. You can repeat elements of it and it shouldn't negatively affect your score.
Thanks! Quick question: Do you know when can I retake the toefl without being penalized for taking it too soon? Some websites say in 3 days some others say in 12 days. It was 12 days before and now they changed it? Which one is it? 🤷♀ I need it for the pharmacy license. Thanks again!
You can reschedule or cancel the test at least 3 days before your test date. However, to retake a test, you must wait at least 28 days after your previous test date. You can learn more on the official site, ETS - www.ets.org/sls/register/how-to-register.html If you have any additional questions, contact ETS directly, don't trust "some sites". Good luck!
When it comes to reading, the best way to improve is to read. If you struggle a lot with the TOEFL Reading, I would suggest investing time in a site like LingQ where you can do some extensive reading that is not connected to the TOEFL, that way you can build your skills and vocabulary with text that is a little bit easier before moving ahead with the TOEFL. There are also three great sites that you can use for free to find academic passages similar to the ones in the TOEFL Reading and TOEFL Listening sections: National Geographic, TED, and Scientific American. And of course, check out tips and practice resources on our site as well - tstprep.com/articles/toefl/100-reading-questions-for-the-toefl-test-pdf-included/ If you need to talk to a teacher, you could also try a trial lesson and they can give you some pointers - tstprep.com/store/toefl-trial-lesson/
Hi Josh, I have a quick question please, my English level is intermediate. I desire to take a toefl test after 4 months. Is it possible to get at least 80 scores within this period of preparation?
Thanks for the question. It certainly could be possible, but for a more accurate assessment of what your score might be, maybe consider a TOEFL Trial lesson. To score an 80, you want to be more in the upper intermediate range, so it might be worth talking to a teacher to see if that's where you fall. Here is the link if you are interested - tstprep.com/toefl-store/toefl-trial-lesson/.
92-115 is considered a C1 level, so it looks like you´ll need to work on improving your English level first if you want to get a high score. You might want to meet with one of our tutors for more personalized assessments and guidance - tstprep.com/toefl-store/toefl-trial-lesson/. That will give you the clearest idea of where you are at.

Thank you so much for these tips! Just got my scores today and got 113/120! (R- 27, L- 29, S-30, W-27), and this too with just 2 days of preparation using your tips and templates!
Thanks a bunch! 😊
Hey, congratulations 🎉, i wanted to say if you are ok, can you give me some tips, because soon I've TOEFL and I'm stressed out....

That’s great news about your reading and listening scores! As for your question, I don't know the answer to this, sorry.
@@TSTPrep Thanks again Josh. I got my final scores 113/120. R:28, L:29, S:29, W:27. Keep making such great content.

You can take notes whenever you like. The only exception is at the beginning of a section when they are reading directions.
Hello , can we use words from the actual question?? Like from the listening?
We recommend paraphrasing the question, but it's not completely necessary. You can repeat elements of it and it shouldn't negatively affect your score.
@@TSTPrep thanks for all the information and dedication you provide for us ❤️
You can learn more on the official site, ETS -
www.ets.org/sls/register/how-to-register.html If you have any additional questions, contact ETS directly, don't trust "some sites". Good luck!
Is there any way to practice reading? I cant believe how low i scored...... and how hgih i scored on the other ones
And of course, check out tips and practice resources on our site as well - tstprep.com/articles/toefl/100-reading-questions-for-the-toefl-test-pdf-included/
If you need to talk to a teacher, you could also try a trial lesson and they can give you some pointers - tstprep.com/store/toefl-trial-lesson/
Hi Josh!
My level of English is B2, is it possible to get more than 110?
92-115 is considered a C1 level, so it looks like you´ll need to work on improving your English level first if you want to get a high score. You might want to meet with one of our tutors for more personalized assessments and guidance - tstprep.com/toefl-store/toefl-trial-lesson/.
That will give you the clearest idea of where you are at.
Thank you🙂
Hey josh
