    I'm Class of '73 WOW where the Year go... I now live in Las Vegas, NV but my whole family still in Miami!.. I was a Member of the Million Dollar Marching Band, I'm glad that the school is been renovated. Best School!...

    Alejandro, don't worry about that "Shugarstar" person, he/she is clueless, unaware that the bust of José Martí has been at MHS since the 50s. He/she is also clueless about the restoration and renovation project, it's plans, goals and objectives.

    You sir are incorrect. He didn't graduate from MHS, but he did attend, albeit briefly in his young life. If you go to alumni dot* dadeschools dot* net you will see his name on the list of distinguished alumni.

    This kind of anti-Cuban sentiment is not the kind of thing that I as a Miami High alum will tolerate without speaking up. I doubt if you know anything about Miami High and I have no clue how you dare post this on the internet when, if you were to say the exact same thing in any corner of Miami High, you would be faced with a Hispanic who would call out your prejudice. The statue is on school grounds, why shouldn't it be in the video? We Cubans and Hispanics are intimately tied to this school.
