Pulling a celebrations blastoise hooked me back in. Base set blastoise was the first card I ever got as a kid, gotta love Rev for always knowing what the people want !!
My guy I'll be 37 on the 26th of May, I used to collect pokemon when they 1st released and I had a ton of cards I wish I still had but sadly over time growing up they were lost. I've recently decided to get back into collecting pokemon and I've been watching a TON of vids so I can learn which sets/packs/boxes to go for. I love pokemon and I still actively watch it, I also have been watching all of your vids as it's like relearning about pokemon all over again. I have a bunch of stuff ordered on Amazon that I decided to go for but my main staple I'm aiming for not even for the value but merely the nostalgia as he has been my favorite pokemon of all time from day one has been charizard with alakazam coming in 2nd. I love your content and your love of pokemon as I can tell it's something you're very passionate about. I wish you the best in future pulls and only ask that you give me some of your luck lol I decided to go with crown zenith english, 151 japanese, pokemon go english, and shiny treasure japanese. I'll be keeping an eye on you my good man. Haha forgot how much I loved collecting but here's to a brand new start in the world of pokemon.
Celebrations was the set that got me back into the hobby after being away from it for almost 20 years. I'll never get tired of watching the set get opened!
ETB's are probably my favorite item to purchase next to booster boxes and those large pokemon based boxes where each one has different packs and usually a large card with promos/V-Vmax cards.
Finally opened our first packs of Celebrations in Lance’s Charizard collection box. Def some we were happy to see again! 🎉 The comparison between these two is kinda hard to pick a winner!
I opened Celebrations for the first time. I got a Sylveon V box on sale. Such a great set. The nostaglia, getting all shinys, it's just too much fun. I'm dying to open more!
I picked up one off Amazon a few weeks back to open with my kid and we pulled all the reprints of Charizard, Blastoise, and Venasaur. They have em for like $90 I think. Edit: we also pulled the gold secret rare Mew. Forgot that pull somehow. 🤦🏻♂️
Celebrations is one of my favorite sets. Having gotten into Pokemon back when Gen I was first released in the '90s, it's such a blast from the past and hits right in the nostalgic feels without breaking the bank.

I’m really sad that I missed celebrations as I didn’t start collecting until December 2022 because it’s looks like such a cool set but I feel like I have my work cut out just trying to keep up with new sets let alone going back to previous ones
I got my first $50 pokemon mystery box from my local card store here in Australia, was totally worth it value wise. I also got 2 Mewtwo elite pokemon go boxes, with the ditto as well, some nice v and vstar cards, so much fun just opening a box. I ordered their $100 mystery box to see what they give.
I've been trying to find the Celebrations Elite Trainer Box in stores near where I live, but I haven't had any luck. I love the variety of packs in this box!
Loved the celebrations products because they mixed in a bunch of sets with each product. Wasn't really a fan of the Pokémon Go set. I am also a sucker for Gen 1 Pokémon. Gen 2 does need more love though!!
My 5 year old son has got the whole family hooked on pulling cards now. First it started with him just asking for some at the store after watching pokemon, and then he started watching your channel which we’re all hooked on. The excitement in pulling beautiful cards is fun our family enjoys now. Just liked, Subbed, and hoping to get some more cards to pull lol
Never got to open either of these sets but I’m getting a job this summer hopefully I can buy a Pokémon go etb and maybe a couple of seperate booster packs of celebration, both of them are such great sets from what I have seen.
Celebrations was a nice little set to complete and it didn't feel like it was too expensive to complete. Pokemon Go seemed like a great set but I found the pull rates terrible which made a small set cost so much to complete. I gave up in the end on my master set.
Love it! Just discovered your channel as I've started collecting with my son. Your energy is great. I was too old for the original Pokemon craze....my son was too young. PoGo was a great intro for us to bond over. Now we are addicted. Looking to understand all the rarities. Your channel helps so much. We are starting afresh from S&V...though we will try and complete one set from Celebrations!
Definitely set 151 is going to be massive in both English and Japanese markets. From what I’m hearing around it been very difficult to obtain larger shipments of 151.
I didn't understand, why people are so obsessed with Celebrations. Yeah, there are some vintage ilustrations of the cards, but that pikachu stamp on them is "meh". Then I've opened 2 celeb etbs, found Blastoise and Mewtwo EX and I start to thinking about collecting the master set aswell :D so even when I start with collecting TCG with the set Pokemon Go, now I can say, Celebrations is better set, definitely. :)
Celebrations has always been one of my top sets! Just for the awesome pulls you can get from them, but if I ever see another holo Ho-Oh again, I’m going to throw it as far as I can
Celebrations was the first actual set I tried to Master. Got them all but the gold mew. For a year or so I couldn’t pull it, then I found a random Lance’s Charizard box a Walmart… second pack in Gold Mew was mine!
