You welcome, really enjoy this trip. The last time I was in this area a old trapper showed me how he cleaned porcupine and I always do it the same way. Wayne Parr was his name, he lost the battle to cancer. This trip brought back a lot of great memories..
Yes through the years anyone that spends a lot of time on the land will certainly experience a few moments of uneasy adrenaline…lol Those are the memorable ones, sometimes the best memories.
This was the back up spot, next year going to try get back, Otter bore Brook suppose to be even better. Not easy getting there but well worth the battle, thank you…
@Biglandtrapper thanks for the content William! I'd love to do a collaboration someday! I have a bunch of family in Labrador. Goose bay to be specific! Been enjoying your channel for years.
Very nice trout, Clarence trapped this area for many years, the ice usually lasts a bit longer than this, actually earliest he ever seen it get this bad.
Not easy getting to some of these places, but you are well rewarded for the effort. Hope to get back again next year, but earlier in the season thought the going usually ain’t as bad this time of year, going gave out quick …
@@Biglandtrapper yes it looked like it was rough going but those trout were definitely rewarding. I see you talk of Mary’s harbour often, my mother in law s father was a trap fisherman there back in the days of sharemen and schooners. They were from Carbonear NL and she went there for the summers with her father. I’d love to visit The big land one day. Love the videos beautiful job.
Hi William. Great video, tough conditions but those are best elements of memorable trips! I enjoy every minute. Can I ask how many kilometres? All the best from Finland!
I have a question? In New York state along the Canadian border the limit is 5 trout, but, if you had a shore lunch and ate 3 of them you can still catch 3 more to leave with a limit. is is that way there too?
The fruits of your labor looks mighty tastie my friend! Thanks for taking us along.
Thank you, the good places are often the hardest to get to.
Hey William. That was an awesome trip. The snowmobiling was adventurous and the trout were wonderful. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Squishy!
What were you using for bait to catch those trout?
Does the gasoline engine auger spook fish?

I’ll have to check that because here the limits vary depending on where you fish.
Rope a long brand name is Maasdam rope puller.
Doesn’t even snow or get cold in New Jersey anymore
Climate changing here as well, weather becoming more unpredictable..
