You need to get more protection on the dozer, you won’t know what hit you when it happens so fast. No amount of protection is wasted while working by yourself and possibly getting hurt. Great video. Thanks Try running 30w oil in the radiator instead of coolant in the radiator , as long as it stays cool, no more water.
I totally agree, I assume you mean ROPS? Iv been wanting to build some but I need to get it running right before I spend time on that. Oil in the radiator? Iv never heard that, will the water pump move oil ?
@@99Projects yep in cold weather or short term use it works 20 weight hydraulic oil works also it just non detergent oil. Check with your local equipment guy and question them about your water in the oil issue, they might steer you in the right direction?
@@robertsprafke9376 iv talked to several people already. its possible its a cracked block from ice casued by water not being drained before the cold or its a bad cylinder sleeve. wont know for sure untill i Pull the engine apart
Just found the channel and enjoying the content, but I’m curious around the story on the old greenie service truck? Seems to feature in a couple videos but then vanished without any dedicated videos going into its story? Seems like it was a cool old truck though!
Sounds like it has a misfire I have couple of those dozers getting water in the engine is pretty common if you don’t keep it covered properly just rain water through the exhaust manifold
I keep my exhaust covered with a 5 gallon bucket still got water in the engine but if you’re having to add coolant then yeah probably sleeve or head problem
that hole in your compressor was caused by rust, you better hope your popoff valve is working otherwise you could have a serious issue there. Maybe time to look for a new compressor, or maybe find one with good tanks and a bad engine or compressor.

Greeny almost looks like a mobile home hauler truck.

I actually filmed a bit on that truck but never posted it. I traded it for a trailer a couple years ago.
@ ah no worries! Thanks for the response!

@@99Projects did you get the engine fixed on the D6 the issue with the water getting into the engine oil?
@@rudycarlson8245 no, I ended up selling that dozer. More of a project than I wanted to take on at the moment
That water in the oil is probably y it runs rough a shame shouldn't bog like that again a shame its a nice dozer should definitely do a motor

That old girl is missing
That’s what a lot of people say
You got a cylinder down dude . Thats why it has no power .
Had plenty of power. Lots of people said it had a miss…I’m not sure it did.
Son, after watching this video, you have glacial loom in that old gravel quarrier. I now know why the state county town or village abandoned it.
