Goodness. I owned 3 Robins and 3 Rialto’s. In the 80’s fond memories great cars. Never let me down . An age of simple motoring Thanks to all at Reliant for great times .
He looks very relaxed even in the hardest situations. Reliant also had a joint venture with Israeli Autocar company and produced the "Susita". It was a great success in my country. With little resources, a road-worthy and economical vehicle was made. They produced both three-wheel and four-wheel version of the Regal, and other models in four wheels only. It was a sturdy and dependable car. Maybe a four-wheeler would have been more popular, and the light body would be ideal for electric cars. The Reliant will still be remembered as a daring endeavor that few car manufacturers dared to take.
i miss reliants so much,a time when driving was fun,so glad i went to the factory in tamworth before it closed,65 years of motoring history at that site.now all housing, many of the roads there are named in reliants memory.
I owned a Reliant Rialto for 3.5 years, it was an amazing car to drive. traded it last week for a mk.2 polo, going too miss my reliant. It's a shame this was dead and buried a short few years after this.
after Brexit we can crank up the Robin production line again and re commence the production of fine , characterful ,British Automobiles with no Brussels interference , they can keep their bendy bananas and low powered hoovers, we will have our robins and t bone steaks again :-)
@@bokhans You beat me to it. I was waiting for the brextard comments. I actually own and run a manufacturing company here in the UK and I'll never forgive these morons for what they have inflicted on the UK. Most of them are drooling pot plants with no idea of the damage their idiocy has done.
Yet another brextard talking utter garbage. People like you should not be allowed out unsupervised. Seriously, have you been living on another planet? Are you really so moronic that you think Reliant went bust because of something the EU did. People like you make me sick! I'll never forgive you and your brextreemist nutjobs have done to my country.
@@HIOP0Jobs, increase GDP, national pride. The government waste plenty of money on silly things, why not invest in British manufacturing? That's exactly what the French did when Renault and Peugeot were struggling, now they are powerhouses again. Instead we got the conservatives and Thatcher selling off British industry and resources like the north sea oil so they could fund their tax breaks for the wealthy.

Definitely! We need our culture back! Need to start making more things in our own country again!
@@PurityVendetta I agree with you , the EU was a menace and protection racket and we are better off out :-)
The Government should help them out
LIST THE SENSIBLE REASONS WHY YOU BELIEVE THIS, TRY NOT TO GET TOO EMOTIONAL.

Help them out by low regulation but no cash, that would not work.
Reliant Robin manufacturer drives around in a rover and can't see why company goes out of business
Because he lives on a farm and needs a 4x4
