- An incredible day of racing took place at the SportsShoes Podium Festival in Leicester.
In a stellar line-up of world class athletes, Hagos Gebrhiwet took the win and set a new 5K British road record in the process.
The Men's elite race saw Amos Langat and Daniel Kosen finish 2nd and 3rd. Elsewhere we saw Nick Griggs set a new NI record, Will Barnicoat finish first Brit and Jake Wightman setting a new road 5K PB.

Ethiopian athlete Hagos G/hiwot is one of the best athletes in Long distance race in the world.
Absolutely fantastic coverage running unbelievable top job all around
Those were atrocious conditions for running. Gebrhiwet can run close to 12:40 on a track in the 5000. Amos Langat ran well too. He's a small man, maybe 5'3" or so.

Hagos Gebrehiwot is one of the many big bruising Ethiopian athletes; Land of the runners, home of Lalibela, Wonchi crater and Bale Mountains. the world's biggest Afro Alpine resort.
