    LGA 1700 contact frame is a must! GORGEOUS build

    Man EK has really improved the ease of installation on their monoblocks. I have the EK monoblock for my crosshair x570 and it's such a struggle getting it installed without moving the thermal paste too much and/or having a poor contact patch. You have to hold the block in place, turn the motherboard over (or have it balancing off the edge of the workbench and lay under it, but only for 2 mounting screws) and screw it in while It's hard to keep track of how many times you've turned the screws when you are worried about keeping the monoblock still and not dropping the motherboard.

    I’d have added an extra radiator and distribution plate at the bottom to make full use of this £800 case. In that configuration the pipe runs where extra long.

    Thanks you for this video, i was looking for a build in this case.
    Maybe you should use copper plates instead of thermal pads for the gpu, a enthusiast build deserve the better.

    $8000 build and a single 1TB drive. You could build a better system for half the money by using a smaller case and an external MORA with 4x 200mm. Not only will it run quieter and cooler, but it would also be easier to build and maintain (far less fan cables).

    These tubes and distro plate ... are they purchased as a kit for v3000 or tubes were made by yourself and d.plate is some sort of universal type ?

    • @captainlooney4356
      @captainlooney4356 Год назад

      EK sells pre-bent tubes 90 degrees in black (for a huge markup over bending them yourself). The distro plate most likely is the one EK makes for the O11D, Lian Li’s other case.

      Forgot to add G1, O11D DISTRO-PLATE G1. There is a classic one but that one is different.

    Any coil whine on your 4090 tuf?

    • @RefrigeratedTP
      @RefrigeratedTP Год назад

      My 3080Ti had really bad coil whine with the stock cooler on it. I didn't expect it to change at all, but after I put the Optimus water block on it, it was so much quieter I couldn't believe it. I didn't even realize for a few weeks later. I was playing a game and I noticed I couldn't hear any coil whine. I probably just got lucky because I still don't understand how a water block can change coil whine that much. The parts causing the coil whine should still be on the card! lmao

    All those high end cooling products and components and they put literally one of the worst static pressure fans available on the rads

  • @fabiob9147
    @fabiob9147 Год назад

    QLs don't make any sense on radiators...they are not fit-for-purpose fans. Huge case but you exploited it badly. The lower part completely empty and maybe the best area to mount a radiator. You might as well have gotten an O11.

    • @kendragon2827
      @kendragon2827 Год назад +1

      No it is not, as an owner of a 1000D. You can only fit 2x480mm and a 420mm, or 4x480mm with the extra trey and cramped. That case is a nightmare for wire management.
