Thank you, for all the saved tears I will no longer shed! That was the best "how to". I love this tent, but could not figure how to get it up myself (near 60 female), the directions say to raise and it is impossible to click at top. This is awesome, thanks again!
I agree with you Ms. Duplessis. I am 12 years older. Lifting the legs to pop in place is an awesome weight-lifting feat that our fine Tent Guy host here does like a breeze. Maybe it loosens up over time. I needed to watch this at the point he does this to see him pulling down on the top while pushing/pulling up the leg. I don’t have that strength (I would guess it is 40 pounds lift). My trick was to put the lower bar over my shoulder and hold the top with both arms while pushing up with my body. It bruised my clavicle on the first one it is so hard but I padded myself for the others. It could definitely put a person’s back out. Having a second pair of hands will help, but not that much. I just hope it is easier due to being looser next time. But to underscore others’ gratitude, I would have been lost for a longer time without The Tent Guy and RUclips. The generosity (business aside) that he has to do this so nicely for us gets my handshake.
We just did a 10x20 and my guys had a really hard time. The main problem with it is they didn’t have it spread out enough and getting it up was way too hard. Ok nice they got it spread out more it was way easier.
I have a trick that works for me, I open it just a little like you then go into the center and push up on the center, opens like a breeze and takes seconds. The stake idea is smart never thought of that.
Excellent How to on this tent. I just bought one and your instructions are way more helpful than the one on the chinsey piece of paper included in the kit.
You know G2Grentals some people need to dislike everything comes on their way to feel they have a better opinion/ ideas. Really feel sorry for them. 🤨😊
Absolutely a fantastic video. This is the first pop-up tent I have ever owned. Couldn’t figure out much of anything by myself. You have really saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you so much.
Without stakes, first push up on center post, then lock one of the four legs that is closest to the locking hole. Keeping weight/hold on the braces as you move to the 1st corner before you get it locked helps. And super important: keep foot gently pressed on the lever (red lever in my case) as you lift to lock the 1st leg. Then lock the other 3. I added some silicone grease to the sliding areas although the grease get on your hands every time you set-up the canopy. Also, the top gets in the way of locking, so it may help to lift up the fabric at the outer corners slightly away from the frame before you try locking the first leg. Good luck and don't get blown away!
I seem to have a problem lifting the top portion first. It makes sense to me and I've tried it. The bottom legs come up immediately and lifting the top afterward is very difficult. I have shed some tears. I must be doing something wrong. Ugh.
@@mercylou Yes, it's a little messy, but I think it was necessary. Have a rag handy to wipe your hands off. Use can use a white silicone grease. Maybe even vaseline. Think of it as hand moisturizer :-)
On my Eurmax popup, the hole for the stake is wayy too small to fit the large stake you showed. Maybe I'm missing something. Perhaps the stake goes somewhere else? Or did they redesign it? Got it on amazon last week.
I recently got this tent and used it at my first market. I was assuming the center inside the tent pushed up and locked but i just couldn't get it done. I see here that you didn't do anything, but hang, from the center! So, just to clarify, it doesnt push up and lock anywhere, is that correct? Thanks for the great video. Four years later and still helping people!!
Well it's been 3 years now for this video has the Euromax tent withheld well? I found this video and am looking at purchasing this tent do to your recommendations thank you Randy
My wife just got one of these for art shows. I don't think we'll be getting a commercial stake driver or a jackjaw any time soon. So, a simple hammer for the simple, included stakes?
Thanks for the video.......what is the dimensions of the bag once the canopy is packed back inside? Just wondering if it will fit in the back of my SUV
Great Video and "How To"!! I know this video is over 2 years old but can you tell me if the roof and side panels you can put on are water resistant enough to keep things inside dry or should items be removed so they don't get wet if rain is forecast? Also, do you still have the same opinion of Eurmax canopy tents that they are the best choice in this price and category?
What wind speeds can this sustain in going to be using one for mobile window tinting and also I think I might need to invest in sand bags incase a customer has a paved driveway. What weight sand bags would you recommend and what wind speeds should I stay away from in going to have all walls on
Do you typically check for utility lines? Or is it even necessary for a pop up? We don’t currently have tents but I’ve always been interested in having a few small pop ups.
If you’re putting stakes out n the ground you should be aware of where lines are. Wether that’s finding out from the property owners or calling dig safe. We typically only call dig safe for commercial properties. Private residences, we have them spray paint it out.
How many times have you used this in the rain, and how has it help up. Looking to spend a little bit more money on a tent and will use about 10x a year. I know after a while the top get stretched out and water will puddle on the canopy and potentially damaged it. Do you think this tent will do the same
It has been up all weekend for a rental several times. It’s held up n the rain. Buy their “beyond” version directly from the site. It’s near commercial quality.
I saw this version in their website, also the pro and the beyond. I want something close as commercial as possible to do by myself but the beyond is around $1K, not sure if mind as well at that price go to the commercial pole tent units or do the pro? Lol, I’m confused, or order 1 of each to check them out 🤦🏻♀️. It will be for rental purposes.
@@thetentguy okay cool thanks appreciate the response because of you I'm looking to expanding my photobooth business in to a rental business to provide more for my families future. Thank you!

GOT BOTH 10X20 TENTS READY GO.whats shortest size you recommend for double head stakes if im using it on 10x20 portable tent. 40-42" seems alot for these uermax tents. is 24X1 diamater good enough
The question is, are you going to be doing larger tents in the future? I’d rather have a consistent inventory than all different sized stakes. But if you’re able to keep them separate, I’d at least go sometime around 30”
Not sure yet. I tested it just before winter, so haven’t gotten a chance to use it. But from all the other ones I’ve seen, I can tell that the top is tight and should do fine.
Is it really commercial though? $179 seems cheap. Tent and Table sells them for almost $900 10x10 pop up. Honest question, just worried insurance won’t cover it.
It’s hard. You have to get it as spread out as you can. Then use one hand to put pressure down on the corner from the top then use your other hand to raise the corner up.
@@thetentguy 😳ok I needed to push the buttons. (I didn’t realize once I got the legs all the way down I still needed to push the buttons to bring it together) that was it. Took 3 days and your video. 🤣 thank you 😘
On concrete we have vinyl sandbags that have a strap so you can do a couple of loops around the tent leg. I would contact a bounce house manufacturer and see if they sell vinyl sandbags. Usually they have vinyl scraps that they can make into sandbags. That's were my work picks them up at. They sell the sandbags made for popups but they are overpriced for what they are, a bag of sand.... I have seen some companies in my area take a frame tent base plate welded to a steel plate and secure it to the pop-up.
