9 minutes long level i started 7 months ago is finally finished! when i have listened to "commatose" by glass beach for the first time i decided that it is like the best song ive ever heard. then I realized that I wanted to build a level using this song, and even then I had ideas for almost every part and that ideas remained until the release of the level. for example: the last part of the level is the first thing that came to my mind when listening to this song. i really like how i managed to create what i imagined from the start even after 7 months. i think this level turned out really good and it is definitely my best.
also thanks to @ImMaxX1 for helping me with some stuff like merging

Easy contender for level of the update so far. As someone who has never even heard this song before it’s like you took the pure essence of it and perfectly transcribed every moment into the medium you created this in. Take pride in this. It is something truly special.

How is every level around 9 minutes in length peak in terms of song usage? There's this, Downfall, Death, and Sinister Silence, which all have really good songs they use phenomenally.

..okay, ill gush about this level too.
This level is absolutely *phenomenal*. This has probably been said before, but it's pretty much a visualization of the song itself; the progression is on POINT, the object usage is not only unique and helps representation tremendously (not to mention very optimized from what i'm seeing, wow!!), but also just.. a joy to look at, it's so so charming. The colors usage, the pulses, the flashes, how the area triggers were used and oh my god, how the scale triggers are used and the way the objects stretch, squash in the intense parts of the song feels so perfectly fitting and so distinctly, undescribably.. glass beach. And the calm parts leading up to them are done super duper well done too, tremendously increasing their impact.
At some points, the color scheme reminds me of the plastic death cover art, and there's even direct references to it beyond the color scheme which i love so so much!! (I will admit i dont listen to glass beach as much as i should, but their songs are ALWAYS a treat, all of their songs in plastic death are no exception. There are other gd levels with glass beach songs and I eat them up too, good lord I do, but this is just.. on another level, because it's enhanced by the use of many 2.2 features that i can only describe as perfectly fitting)
How you were able to keep up motivation with ideas flowing all throughout the creation process for NINE MINUTES OF RUNTIME is not only a testament to the greatness of the song, but also your creating prowess, resilience and your success at just.. capturing the song at a level that many levels can only hope for.
I gushed a lot and i could go on, but you get the point. And there's probably so so many things and details i missed in my rush to yap about this level!! All in all, insane work. I can't speak for the gameplay rn, but seriously, this is something insane.

This is why I love GD. 7 months of work gets concentrated into 1 level. It's a medium that translates the creators raw passion into eye candy. This one was particularly tasty 😋

Just beat this. The gameplay is absolutely amazing. I normally don't play these levels in full detail if I'm going to lag, but I decided to just deal with it and beat the level with full detail. It was absolutely worth it as it has been my top 5 experiences in the entire game. The mountain climb from 68-77% is so stressful yet so simple. Level of the year man it's so good.

The attention to detail in every part is amazing. Even the more empty parts of the level have so much care put behind each object. And when the level reaches its climax, it hits so hard. This is probably the best 2.2 level yet, and it definitely deserves a mythic rating.

I found this level on youtube yesterday, and since then I genuinely can't stop thinking about this. This level has some of the best song representation and progression I've seen in this game, and this is definitely my favorite level of the year!

Wow! Never thought a GD level could do this this song justice, but here we are. I love how the calmer parts feel just as important and intentional, especially at 6:20, and the scream part at 4:15 really got me going.
I can not stress enough all the things I love to death about this level. This is nothing short of incredible and easily one of my new favorites of all time :) good stuff!!!
