Thanks man... I have been loving your videos and have followed you for over a year now... You have really inspired me and now I became an Illustrator tutor as well... Thanks again..... 😊
Thanks a lot for the tutorials, you re doing great jobs, always !!! I am a beginner and learning a lot things from you. You are so kind and friendly, always. But the problem is why I cant see my strokes options, I cant click on others :(
Thanks Ilker :) You can go to Window --> Stroke to bring up the panel. Go to top-right corner and click the menu icon (made up of several lines) and select 'more options' 😊
@@ForeverDansky Thank you so so so much. Now ı got it and fixed that. As I said you are so kind and very helpful. I've been following you and I'm going to. I'm learning a lot of things with you as a beginner :)
Hi Dansky, I hope you will read this message ,because I really need your help. I created something on illustrator and the resolution was 1366-768px, then I decided to change all my designs copy on 85-55px and I did but now resolution is so bad. I’ve tried to change something but I couldn’t successful :(. Please can you help me about it ? By the way I m so happy to found you, learning many things thanks to you 🙏
hey Dan, i've got a problem here. i have the stroke selected and when I click the gradient bar, the gradient automatically goes to the fill. Not the stroke. Pls help me out.
I didn't notice if you corrected yourself, but you can exactly copy a color stop on your gradient by holding down the option/alt key while dragging the color stop.
I have a very complex idea I am trying to bring to fruition, I am trying to make a weirdly shaped object look like it is metal and reflecting the sunset while having these cracks that radiate a rainbow, I have the rainbow nailed down I just need to do the metal idk if I can do it in illustrator but thats what I'm currently using
Hello, thank you for your videos. I have been trying to do what you have done. I have a question about stroke. After I did rainbow color I can not change stroke from the gradient panel. I mean only I can select first one and the second and third does not working. What can I do for it? Thank you in advance.
Thanks for the great tutorial but I've got a question. I did all that and the gradient worked and followed along the path but the shape of the path itself became distorted on the edges and it's not smooth like it was before using the option "apple gradient along the stroke". Even if I expand it and convert it to shape, it's still not smooth.
Do you really need to add a color first at the Swatch, so you can pick it on the Gradient Scale? Can’t you just open the Color Picker right on the Swatch picker?
My gradient tool cannot work on stroke, even if I managed to apply I can't change color, a + sign will appear. This all happen when I am on the gradient tool. Anyone can solve?
I'm following you since 2017
I learnt Most of my software skills from you
Thank you so much

I can't see mine either...
great video! is there a way to have a gradient inside a weird shape but along the edges? like a trapezoid
this is cool man..thanks
Cool! but if its not a stroke? if its an object outlined?
Hey Erando! If your shape is already expanded, you could try using the newer Freeform Gradient tool to manually position the rainbow colours :)
@@ForeverDansky Ill try that, thank you

Unfortunately this doesn't work for me for custom shapes in the latest CC. Works if the shape is a polygon but not if it's say a custom drawn S.

Can i apply that effect to a shape in stead of a stroke? i wanted a similar effect on my logo, with the color following the shape
thanks : )

beard looks sick bro
What version did this come in? I use cs5
nice
I got some good Looney Tunes vibes when you applied the gradient across the stroke
4:40 is where he gets tot the point
how so you do this for shapes
But that's not really a rainbow, right? Is there a way to make a real rainbowdistribution of the colours?
