This helped with me decide about getting shorter (Shoulder length) hair. I honestly see more cons than pros about having wavy, thick, hip length hair, that constantly slaps me in the face outside. Also you make wonderful videos.
I was just browsing through these short hair videos and came across this one. Gosh, I love this woman. Love the personality lol I enjoyed not only learning about shorter hair, but also got a laugh here and there. 👍🏼👍🏼
sure! As I mentioned, all the references I have are based on my own hair cut and experiences. If you share yours here in the comments, we'll add to the beauty encyclopaedia for everyone to take part in.
I've got short hair and I absolutely love it, I think it's great and way easier to handle than long hair in my opinion. Btw your hair looks amazing and I love the length :D
Vishruti Srivastava it's really frustrating. And when you have fringe/bangs, it's even worse. They seem to go oilier a lot faster than the rest of the hair and they are right there on you forehead screaming "grease ball"... Sometimes I put a bit of dry shampoo just on my fringe before going to bed. It soaks a lot of the oil while I sleep and no white residues are left in the morning. Of course one has to change their pillow cases more often ;)
the free.volous the same problem I had when I had fringe and I had to grow it out because I hated the clumped up look that it left! So I opted to grow it out... Then I need to wash it a lot more often than any other normal human and I'm like "why me?" but then they are silky and smooth when you wash them and then I'm like "yeah me!", dual emotions I mean! Nice suggestion though...
I totally agree with you. 👍 Short hair can look great, but it needs to be styled. Even though my hair type is totally different than yours (it’s thick, coarse and wavy) when I had a bob haircut I had to style it every day (and I also had to apply lots of hair product) only not to have lots of cowlicks and a frizz-ball on my head. By the way, you remind me of Kim and Kelley Deal. 🙂❤️
that can definitely happen. because my hair is so straight, I just let it be. but sometimes I wake up with a weird fringe. on those days, I fill it with bobby pins and denial ;)
I have the EXACT same hair but blonde, I just realized I didn’t have to brush it at all. Just shake it out after towel dry and it will have more volume. Then brush it before you get in the shower.
I’m not sure but I’d love to have your haircut, it’s just that I love my long hair😂 I mean I have a lot of memories with them. But if I’m cutting them I’ll donate it. Sorry for my English but I’m Italian
Hi! I loved your video, it was the most in depth and informative one I've seen yet. I have my lifelong dream, waist-long hair but now I'm thinking to cut it just a bit shorter than yours. I've been thinking about it for days and can't make up my mind.. anyway, i was wondering if you could show what your hair routine is like (and if you could, what your hair would look like with no styling)? I think we have very similar hair types and I'm very lazy when it comes to styling
Ania Ryt hey! First of all, thank you for your kind words. This video is several months old, and my hair has since then grown quite a bit. You can check my videos posted right after this one to get a sense of how my hair looks without styling, namely this one: ruclips.net/video/sP5D338-3j8/видео.html When it comes to hair care, I’ve done some videos on that, but, in a nutshell, I wash my hair 2 to 3 times a week with a sulfate-free shampoo (I’m sensitive to sulfates) and I use a conditioner just on the ends. Of course when I had shorter hair, I hardly needed any conditioner, or hair masks. I have oily hair, but I’ve educated it (there’s a video on that too eheh). If I go to the gym or if my hair is getting too dirty, in between “actual” washes (with shampoo) I either wash it with a co-wash product (like the L’Oréal one - there’s also a review on that product), or use plain old dry shampoo. My favourite is the Klorane oat one for brunettes, which has a slight tint to it and doesn’t smell of harsh chemicals. I almost always blow dry it because I don’t like having my wet hair grabbing dirt from the air and sticking it to my already oily-prone roots. Other than that, I don’t do much. If I want to style it I use heat protectant (but I hardly do use hot tools on my hair) and a bit of hairspray. I hope this helps! Whatever your decision, just have fun!
I literally could not take care of my long hair.. They tangled, broke and always were messy.. I could not really style them and always had to tie them or briad them.. Short hair r way more comfortable and free
Emily Clarke hi! I just showed her a couple of pictures I chose when googling "lob with bangs". There's this almost iconic picture I had been drooling over for more than a year. goo.gl/images/5W3FU3 It's really important that people on the reference pictures have sort of the same hair type as you, or you'll be disappointed. My hairdresser always lets me know what is possible, what is adaptable, and what won't work for me. She adapted the layers to the thickness (or thinness eheh) of my hair, and I asked for the length to be a bit lower so that it wouldn't be such a shock and I could still pin it up (on the back by the base of the neck and on the front by the collarbone). I'm tempted to go back there soon and go a bit shorter so that it "lasts" longer (so a more similar cut to, say, Ingrid Nilsen, but keeping the bangs because I need to hide my forehead wrinkles ;))
Mya v the points start at 0:55. There are many, and I like to be thorough, like I would be chatting with friends. Sorry this wasn’t your cup of tea. Thanks for stopping by, anyway :*
My hair is waist length right now and I'm getting it cut to a bob next week. This really helped me make my decision! :D
getting an update on my haircut this week! Maybe I'll make it shorter again!
Same!
I hope you donate it!
Im glad Im not the only person that catches a cold if I go to bed with wet hair in winter. People don't believe me
I have seriously been considering a shorter haircut. This helped me get the courage. Thank you! All my long hair problems in one video!
oooh, the responsibility.... please let me know how it went, I'm so curious! I hope you're loving it!
You can find me on instagram @thefreevolous

ahah! thanks :)
I’m going to cut my hair short and I was watching this and just realized some of the pros or cons won’t happen because I’m cutting it chin length.

Thanks! I'm going back to that length or a bit shorter as soon as I finish filming the series I'm working on right now ;)
I have the same hair type and gosh I hate the oily fact of it!

i have cut my hair short and washed more than usual just to get the right shape -_-

no one is satisfied ;))
so beautiful ,hair color and dye?
My hair is natural, I don't dye it :))
I have long hair that goes to my butt and I put my hair in a bride
Aiman Motin u mean braid
How long was your hair before?
Maybe down to my chest… at least 15 cm below my shoulders. This video is quite old, though, so I can’t say for absolute sure.
What do you say to your hairdresser to get your hair cut
