That was a great way you described that EP. But when of the abyss threw me back to the ground I was laughing and crying at the same time. This IMO is what I deem Godlike!
Lorna Shore is doing for modern deathcore what Architects did for nodern metalcore. They are simply incredible and I reckon a lot of bands will start borrowing their ideas
For someone who has been really into music theory and all that shit for a long time now, I can really appreciate and see the sheer amount of work put into these songs. The way they used the key change in this song was perfect, their use of contrasting between heavy elements and melodies was almost flawless, and I can definitely say they know a lot more about true music than most bands due. Hats off to them
Those melodies, that solo, that chorus, the range on all the instruments (vocals included), that keychange, the ENERGY! Power metal meets deathcore in the best of ways, while still keeping the blackened elements. Feels like deathcore Dragonforce and I'm HERE for it. Didn't know I needed this is my life until now o'clock. You're right Nik, deathcore IS fun in 2021, love that for us fans.
Lol the melodies are starting to crush as hard as the breakdowns This E.P has brought me back to Deathcore. Stopped listening in 2016 and I’m glad to have a reason to be back in 2021
I like how there some electronic synths in this song that doesn't overpower the song too much, but just blends it perfectly with the symphonic orchestral things and the blackened deathcore themes molded together to make it this epic. Pretty much my favorite LS song of this year.
I absolutely loved this song! I'm all for the symphonic, melodic, orchestral sounds that are added to death metal, deathcore, black metal, etc. I don't mind a heavy, in your face track, but I don't need literally ALL the zombie noises like with their last track. This song is probably my new favorite Lorna Shore Track.
To the hellfire didn't do it for me. Song was good up until min 2 but after that it didn't really click with me. This is way better structured and the melodies are nice. People complaining about no breakdowns don't really have valid opinions on this kind of music

As a dood from Norway, I can confirm. I actually love this track more than To the hellfire because of the symphonic and blackened powerdeath feel of the track. Coming from the black metal scene, with a strong love for doom/sludge, I really love how both death core and tech core have evolved the past couple of years.
