Yes, and those only appear in levels that have open ceilings and open floors. And they don't appear in every level like that. There is a built in code to start the game as humans if you want to bypass waiting for the levels.

This is the one that I play. The Japanese version of Bubble Symphony. As the beta version in PS1 it's harder than the official version of Bubble Symphony. The amount of Snowflake Hyper Drunk spread are truly much and hard to dodge because it's semi transparent

That beta is crash prone, and not worth playing at all. It is also one level shy of complete. I used a cheat in an emulator to see if the game was complete, it ends on the level right before the last boss, and even on an ISO image you get a message saying the disc is dirty and cannot access the final level where the final boss is.

@@-ArdhaniChandra Yeah L1 and R1 is supposed to let you do that, but going through the game normally, you can't access the final level. Once you finish the second to last level, the game crashes, sending you to a nice sprite viewer debug screen, where you can see the entire sprite sheets for the game (there's a few pages due to how many sprites the game has)

@@-ArdhaniChandra It's happened to me multiple times, so I stick with my Saturn version (which is finished, and quite awesome, arcade perfect pretty much), or the version emulated on one of the Japanese PS2 Taito Memories compilations.

Also is it me or they died a lot in boss fights?
I guess the game creators made Boss fights a lot more difficult to farm coins, cause they know you're more likely to spend more money when you're at the boss...

This game is brutally difficult, there's other videos of people finishing this game on RUclips. However, they either have to continue a few times, or they use tool assistance to make it look like they have skill.

How do you reach the treasure room?

They are in certain levels, and like the original Bubble Bobble you cannot die once, or the rooms never appear again that playthrough.
