Travelling dates? Is it recommended to take this tour in December end?

I was there a month ago. Maybe. Since it's winter and it snows there, you need to ask the tour operator if the roads are open on your dates and they're running the all the tours.

Hi. Thanks for a useful informative video. I am going to Almaty in July Aug. Can you suggest a decent hotel to stay for 2 persons which is located conveniently for going around various tours? Apart from Bana tours , which are the other tour operators? how to find them online? Thanks and regards

I stayed in a hoste (only boys)l, so I don't know much about other hotels. But, during my research, I used Booking.com, Agoda, and goibibo to find suitable accommodation. In terms of tour packages, similar tour operators can be found online. Once you're in Almaty, you can also visit the nearest Tourist Information Center. They are really helpful and will tell you everything.

@@TheEthicalTraveler Okay. Thanks!! Another question- Is there a tour which will cover all the lakes, canyons, including singing sand dunes, national parks etc in one round over say 4- 5 days? I find that most of the places around Almaty are to the north or south east of Almaty upto a maximum of 200 kms. But all tour are like 1 day or 2 day tours from and to Almaty. Can one avoid coming back to Almaty?

They will be private tours and expensive. Except for Tourist Information Center, you can also visit Indian restaurants in Almaty. They also know private cab drivers and tour operators.

@@TheEthicalTraveler Great. Thanks a lot. BTW, is there any India there who acts as tourist guide or support?

The manager of Spice Mantra ( Indian Restaurant in Almaty). He might be able to help you as he's in Almaty for a long time.

Hi. I am your new subscriber. Thanks for the information. We plan to visit Almaty in March last week. We are 2 adults and 1 child (15 years) Please suggest which lakes and canyon we should actually visit and how can be book it. Should we stay for one night in Saty village. As I realise that getting a private car tour is expensive. What is the best to see and how can we book it

Hi Ramit, thank you for subscribing.
      1. To the best of my knowledge, Kolsai Lake, Kaindy lake & Charyn Canyon are the most popular tourist destinations.
      2. All the Banana tour packeages with price and contact infomation are mentioned in the description of this video. There are many such tour operaters. So, either you can choose Banana tour or any other tour operator, which suits your budget and comfort. Bus tour seems to be the most affordable option.
      3. If you go by bus, staying in Saty villiage won't be possible as it's a one-day tour, leaving early in the morning and coming back at night.
      4. You can also go to the nearest information center (Visit Almaty) to know the latest updates and best options available. They will give the complete guide of places and how to visit them and answer all your questions. They are really helpful. Talking to the hotel staff (the hotel you would stay in Almaty) would also be usuful.
