Thanks great video ! A huge problem for someone who tries to do this who is not a marketing person regularly engaged with Google, is that the home screen for Google ads seems to change constantly. I set up a Campaign just 6 days ago and my screen didn't look like yours. That's not a complaint about you, just Google who for the small business owner, seems to constantly do things that can flat out put you out of business because ...frankly your ads aren't running the way you expect them to or whatever. Insofar as advertising is concerned or any business, there was a time when if you didn't see your FINAL ad copy in advance before publication, and approve it yourself, you wouldn't buy the ad or publish it. One is left feeling totally out of control and at the mercy of Almighty Google. It's criminal really.
I totally understand where you're coming from. I often find that Google Ads and their software keeps changing, once a year or even twice a year (probably more and I just don't notice the minuscule changes as much). Keep on going at it! Google has changed GA again. Is there any way you can make new video on how to properly set up keywords. Im still researching there are only broad keyword. Not sure what's going on with that. Can you please give some clarity on that.
We are working on the 2024 update, Google did change a lot.... However using the keyword tool is pretty much the same as the video - the match types are changing though; sorry we are working to get the update out

I think bidding limit should not be set from the start. Because we want to first test the keywords. So that we can set a more relevant limit after the learning period. What do you think?
If you're okay with spending more money, like $20-30 a click, then you can set it up without a limit. But the limit keeps you form spending your entire marketing budget on just a handful of clicks.
You didn’t mention how to choose keywords, how to find data on what keywords our target audience is using on google and what keywords are being paid for by the highest bidder

Not sure I follow the logic... Why have them scan a QR when they are already on your site? You don't need a QR since the ad will take them straight to the site you want.... Plus remember mot of your traffic will be mobile

I finally got started with google ads because of the $500 credit... they told me I'd be looking at $0.70 per click but instead, I'm seeing $15.00 per click.... 😢 I have gotten 300 impressions, 15 clicks and am already at $200 without a single booked call. I'm concerned that I am getting scammed by google... 😢
Your not being scammed by Google, it's just the keywords being targeted. $15 per click is WAY high unless your a lawyer or other highly paid service professional. Sadly the Google estimates are often different than reality. If your seeing those high costs, you want to look at targeting longer, more specific keywords. If you'd like more help, please comment again (new comment, I don't see replies) with your niche and some of the keywords you are targeting.
This is great content! Just one question: What do you do when the ad strength is poor like in the video (you see on minute 38:03) because this will impact how much you pay for your ads. This isn't talked about in the video and this should. It is a important factor!
Focus on your CTR and CPA, as advertisers those are the metrics we should care about because those are what drive our results. Google's Ad strength is just based on a checklist rather than performance.
You just need to be honest - tell them you want to learn and will work for free if they supply the budget. Don't pretend to know and some business owners may be willing to take a chance

Some times Google allows for a setup without payment info. You can always add it and just not turn on any of your campaigns

Choose keywords that represent your offer - nothing special beyond that. The keyword planner section covers how to find estimated search volume data

Ad Strength is not part of your quality score or the auction. Therefore it does not impact how much you pay.
