I loved almost everything in this collection. It’s the right balance between artistic creativity and wearability. Other collections, although really interesting, are more art installations - and that’s fine, but real clothes for real people can be truly wonderful too.
This was absolutely breathtaking. Every single piece, the music, the environment... I was entranced the whole time.
Love that Dior is collaborating with an indian woman NGO on the tapestry wall embroidery production. Contributing to those underprivileged amid pandemic helps lifting up the human spirit. Please continue this good effort. Together we can make this world a better place! 💪🏻🥰 💞💞💞💞💞
Horrible! 🤢
Yes it looks nice. The print
Background and the tapestry.

Fashion is the only art form to have remained consistent throughout the ages and that is to say - always aiming towards beauty.
It truly is the last frontier in communicating how striving for beauty can produce civilizations like Atlantis and how a lack of it can produce great misery.
Beauty matters.
Thank you dior.
Thank you Haute Couture.
Absolutely love the WALL coverings. Beautiful!
Yes! The walls were amazing! Why couldn’t MGC create dresses/coats based on those tapestries is beyond me! The atelier could have recreated those embroideries on the clothes!
@@ryansalamat5924 - That was what I was hinting at😉😉😉😉😉. Only the “WALL” coverings were beautiful.

I want a coat made with the pink hued part of the wall covering🤗🐝❤️
I feel like none of you will ever truly know the definition of couture. Even if I explained it you’d be lost. Great job to the designers up there.
This collection is truly a work.of magnificent artistry . It showed sensational elegance and the most fabric conscious designers. The flow of the silks, lace was breathtaking. Then the suiting was perfectly tailored and draped. Every detail was controlled and the clothes were so museum slated and worthy. Ageless for the wearer and the Age ! Nothing could be improved.....HIGHEST HONORS!
Are you Maria in disguise?
😭😂😂😂😂 HIGHEST HONORS WHEN WE HAD JOHN !!!!!!!! .
Maria Grazia Chiuri said_"I think for the people working around the tables at our ateliers again, there was a different, incredible kind of energy in working towards this show,”
So, we needed to appreciate their talent and energy who puts in this Haute Coutures.
I loved this collection, I loved the music, I loved the styling of the models, I loved the layout of the venue, I loved the wall coverings. The clothes are subtle and instantly classic, the shoes are edgy while remaining calm, every ruffle is perfectly done, every line is perfectly placed. I could see myself in the long coats for winters to come, I could see myself in the gowns simply to express the awe and wonder and beauty of humanity itself. I love fashion; it is the ultimate and perhaps only necessary form of art.
Love it too
Perfection.
Well said. ( everything I was thinking)
dior has always been my favorite fall-winter collection from year to year😍
Absolutely STUNNING again, I'm overwhelmed by the finesse of the fabrics, the textures reminding us of the elements, the fluidity, the palet, the techniques used, the plissés, the weavings, I could go on... and the cherry of top of the cake the wall covering ... just sublime !!! Thank you Maria Grazia Chiuri and all your team for creating such beauty ❤️❤️❤️
This fall 2021-22 collection so wonderful I loved the textures and hats for outfits and coats so warm yet stylish. The Earthiness connection colors grey greens taupe light beige subtle yet powerful! Silk and satin Asian influence as well in dresses. Also evening gown wear well outstanding! I love the flow of the material and designs so romantic and timeless yet Awe! inspiring . And I believe a wedding dress of nature flowers so awesome! Unique fragile yet commands attention ! Yes totally beautiful!! And least of all yet all important was walls textured with fabric s and designs unique on to themselves I wanted to reach out to touch them so beautiful made but skilled artists in this Artwork! I applaud them . Dior design s caught my attention this collection will be popular for the coming months . I hope to see some of these in the stores soon. !!! AWESOME. A fan Susan from USA Arizona
Very nice to read.
I love the "cottage core", folkloric inspiration of this collection, I believe it's really stunning and luxurious and may not seem Haute Couture at first sight, but the fact that it's understated makes it so much more refined.
I totally agree with your opinion, and personaly i think it is a stunning collection

Maria Grazia Chiuri is such a creative woman, giving a beautiful point of view about Haute Couture with simple lines and lovely colors, breaking the molds of haute couture. This collection makes me think that fashion design within haute couture can be very noble and considerate of the woman's body, using delicate shapes that make her feel free. A very feminine point of view of haute couture, I really appreciate the delicacy in thinking that any woman in her own size can wear these collection and feel comfortable and fashionable and inclusive in haute couture. Love your creation Maria Grazia!!!
8:17 dress is breathtaking, looks amazing for a red carpet
Love this collection, I love the colors of the backdrop and the music selection is very nice. Christian Dior Autumn-Winter 2021-2022 Thank you xo
It’s frightening when I find the wallpaper more interesting than the fashion.
I think the inspiration for each of the models was 'vacant wallpaper'.
I think Dior is back to integrity in its clothing- saying the wallpaper more interesting is absurd.
Fine collection, and remember, Dior is not for everyone, if avant- garde is more attractive to you , then stick to Jean Paul Gautier and others of that same caliber.
Bravo Dior !!
Good collection, welcome back to integrity and making Christian Dior shine again!!
To be honest the wallpaper is stunning

The tapestry walls in the show was made by talented artisans from India. Unfortunately no credits given.
And if a European or American "artist" hired the the artisans and said it was all his idea, they would call him a "genius", lol
I adore the walls more than the costumes. Next year Maria Grazia does a collection based on that walls. They are stunning.
Thanks for letting us know. The walls are exquisite.
Dior did videos on the collaboration with an Indian women’s centre for the arts a few collections back, so why the negativity? Did you add any positive comments on those videos?
Different people, different collection. Acknowledging one group of Indian people doesn't mean you're "covered" for future collabs with any and all Indian people. And stating facts is not negativity. Ignoring facts is.
Very soft colors.. Soothing to the eye
I am blown away by both the ultra-sophistication and the wearability of this collection. Thank goodness for Ms Chiuri! she has the courage to avoid oh-so-predictable and unimaginative black (i think there are only 3 back outfits) and the even more predictable and unimaginative brights. This colour palette, apparently based on the minerals of the earth, is next level. For me it has an extraordinary primal, soft and subtle emotional appeal. Plus, every item is informed by classic concepts and we can see at a glance it is comfortable and easy to wear. There are styles to suit every size and age, and the textures and shimmer - so touchable and alluring! I can see at least 20 items alone that would work beautifully right now in my wardrobe.I think this collection will attract a flood of orders. Congratulations Ms Chiuri!
PS the wall tapestries by Jopin are beyond beautiful. It must be wonderful to sit in that room and experience them IRL. I hope they have a permanent home where they can inspire and nourish many more audiences.
I love the haunting music and oh those autumnal colours. Love the textures.
I have a Dior jacket that my mother gave me which is about forty years old. Every time I wear it I get compliments. I’ve had the lining replaced but otherwise it’s in impeccable condition and very, very stylish. I just don’t see any of these pieces living up to that standard of beauty or quality. Alas......
I purchased a pair of vintage Dior Shoes from the 1980's made of Ostrich Skin and they are just wonderful to wear and i know no one else will have the same pair of shoes in England. Haute Couture from the 1960's is my favourite style
When i heard of the death of Sean Connery 31st October 2020 aged 90 i started watching his films and there are many to get through.
In 1964 he made a film called Woman of Straw with Gina Lollobrigida. The filming locations were fabulous and it was all so glamorous.
I wish to point out 2 outfits she wore. One was a strawberry pink outfit with hat and OMG WOW. She looked AMAZING. The other was a long GOLD BEADED dress and OMG WOW. This was even more eye catching BUT IT WAS DIOR.
I recommend you try and watch the film for this reason.
Hélas?
I agree with you. How nice to have your own Dior jacket. Classic quality and style will never go out of style. This collection will not go down in history as a classic or even pretty.
Back in the days fashion was about style.
Now it's about trends...

Yes guys, it is simple. It's the new normal. The moment that we live will totally influence in fashion. I really miss the extravaganza, but life now is not asking for luxury.
I think it is though. We are all kinda bored, so it would be nice to actually see something more extravagant. It's true that many people are going through a very tough time, but those people are not Dior clients. Dior clients are still rich as ever and can afford anything that is put out

Yes only for now, the water on earth is drying up as I
Type .one day the bible says, people will throw their money in the street,
Because they will want food and water more.
Revelation 18: say Christ will take that all away from
Unbelievers. You must get saved to be safe.
it is thoe that’s what HC is all about
It's still "luxury" I'm sure it's just a more practical wearable collection than some and fall is usually more drab their spring line is very bright and mini skirts mode looking with go go boots it has to do with the season and weather too.
At first glance this collection seems deceptively ordinary. However, it reveals itself slowly and requires an audience that has knowledge of, and respect for, craftsmanship and subtlety. Once the viewer allows themself to take a slow and careful look at the pieces; details suddenly appear.
And what statement are these subtle, yet ethereal, works of art making as they pass that magical, organic backdrop? I agree, completely, with your assessment. These days bombastic, aggressive, violent, nor cold, has much to offer... Namaste, Este
This is clothes. Fashion is more than just clothes. Nice clothes… BY DIOR???
Looks familiar? Reminds me so much of the recent Cruise Collection. Did I just watch Dior RTW2022 😅
exactly what i was thinking
Well, it's what she always do, there's nothing new, she keeps recycling old looks from her career in Dior since the very beginning, you could always see the same tulle dress with woven technique or embroidery accent in almost all of her collections, it's boring as hell. What a waste of resources, imagine what those Dior Ateliers could do!!!
Maria lacks Ideas she keeps repeating the same design every season 😂😂😂

love the wall art. the prints are fabulous. some of the tweeds, too. and the gold. and the black soft bar jacket with long skirt
I don't think this is a Haute Couture show, a bit like a ready to wear show
Seems it happened since they removed John Galliano from Dior
You don't understand haute couture, seem to think it should be a dramatic theatrical show....

Okay collection, I adored the tailoring, nice colors but the show didn’t give me energy.
Are you referring to the show or the clothes? I personally am concerned when the "show" is better than the clothes. At least Dior let comments be made, Chanel just released their Haute Couture collection and turned comments off. That never is good. And yes, Simple shapes with Luxury fabrics but it cut different and not in a good way.
Go and see Armani’s show.
Absolutely agree!
Most of things now days aren't design to give you energy but to take it from you. That's the whole point.
Beautiful music by Quade-The Balance!!! Congrats!!

Oh god the fabrics! What a stunning collection and that wall art is insanely beautiful. Chiuri is a genius. Can't believe I'm just seeing this collection now.
Loved it! The subdued colors and familiar silhouettes took me away from just looking at the clothes but thinking about how they were made and why in the context of Dior's previous haute couture shows. I think its a shame that people don't value how wearable this line is. Why wouldn't one want to wear all that time, money and attention to detail.
Well said. The people posting negative comments have absolutely no idea how much work goes into a single outfit and the beauty of couture is only ever seen closeup, not from a distance. The people who actually can afford this clothing want exactly this kind of thing, quality and refinement at a level the masses will never be able to understand or appreciate, let alone ever see in real life.
I found these colors to stunning! As a younger woman, I found the fabrics, textures, and colors to be a delightful twist runway couture! With the washed wood and the muted tones in the backdrop, I believe the canvas was set to properly drape these clothes and impress! I’d love to wear them if I could.
someone pls explain maria grazia the meaning of the words Haute Couture
Nothing changed! Maria gave us the same same vibe as the old 3 years back!!!
A beautiful and very wearable couture collection. Lots of daywear which makes sense as life doesn’t revolve just around ball gowns. Many people don’t understand that there is a growing elite that actually wear these clothes in their daily life, it’s not just for red carpets so it doesn’t need to be flashy or brash. The incredible work and refinement that goes into each of one these outfits can only be appreciated up close, not from a distance by the masses. I wouldn’t be surprised if they receive several orders for all of these outfits!
Can you imagine the time that went into the wall tapestry? Wow.
I think the wall was from print technic. And they
Inserted those pretty
Tapestrys in.
They just printed it over and over to cover all the
Back ground . It looks
Really nice.

I love this show. Very wearable. I wish Dior will make grey full flair skirt for Ready to Wear (at the beginning of this video. Wearing with black mesh top & bra)
they still think it's feminist to strip women from color, shape, glamour, sex appeal... it's really sad that's what it is
It’s kind of liberating to not have to be the “entertainment” committee in the usual red/ pink/ pastel ways. Neutrals demand confidence. If I weren’t 75K from perfection, I’d enjoy wearing a lot of these pieces. Some pieces were a little boxy and bland but there were some pieces that really stood out. An appliquéd trench that I loved and a few of the boxy belted satiny floral two pieces. May you be healthy, happy, safe, and have all you need.
@@Brainhoneywalker obviously this has an audience, there's no denying that. but this is was supposed to be a haute couture show
Because they lost in translation.
I thought that, is it because most designers are gay men that most outfits would have looked as good on male models.

I get her, she's a woman's woman. Tired of male fashion designers', mostly gay, gaze. Haute couture does not automatically mean outlandish concepts or forms. The everyday, well to do, modest woman can also be represented. Haute couture can mean, simple beautiful shapes made with expensive, well crafted material.
but christian dior was gay
The founder of the house was gay, so I am trying to understand the logic behind mostly gays, was it really necessary ?. I understand were you come from regarding representation but Maria has the opportunity to do that in her RTW and Cruise collections. The repetition of silhouettes in her RTW collections should have no place in her Couture collections, she should learn to heighten the looks to make the viewer and audience dream, not to bore them with some kind of modern philosophy, dress making should be dress making, the concept is clear in couture, one can’t have so many experienced ateliers at their disposal only for them to be limited creatively when it comes to their craftsmanship and skills 🤷🏿♂️
@@abisaiiileka1293 By "necessary" , you imply an affront from my part. And, I made that emphasis from a personal observation, as a gay man myself. I find gay men's gaze on women very different to straight men's and women. It makes perfect sense, they are men interested, sexually and sentimentally by other men but fascinated by women. Obviously other people from different persuasions will approach women in an other fashion. Especially WOMEN themselves, why shoudn't.they? Yes Dior was Gay! Maria was given the reign of the house for a reason and she is expressing herself. I don't know the terms but if she was given free reign, I feel like she is sending a clear message as a woman! And I am curious to learn how you know what makes a viewer or audience dream! Finally, "couture" is a French word for "making cloths" "stitching". "Haute" is for heightened. Any garment crafted by hand, with high skills and made of expensive, luxiourous material would be regarded "off heightened craftmanship " regardless of form.
