This thing actually has a TON of mod potential even compared to the Aeon. Just do some basic mods and get the N-strike stock and scar adapter and this thing is AMAZING! Its possibly one of DZ's most modable springers
You can get the goldblum kit from outofdarts that solves a lot of its issues. Mine never could get through a full mag of long darts without jamming. Definitely needs a longer barrel. My stock broke and then broke again once I’d welded it back together. All in all a great plinker as it is.
I am currently putting the internals of one of these into a Nerf Longstrike. For that use case, I think it very much does have a place in the hobby space. As it is already bolt action with a similar prime length, converting a Longstrike to direct plunger and Stefans has never been easier especially given how cheap these are on the secondary market.
I got mine on clearance too! I think around $16. It's a decent pick at the price. The main issue was that it came out after the Nexus Pro and the Aeon Pro which were just straight up better in that retail price range. Unless you really vibe on the movie license, why bother at that amount?

A tip for the stock, put the bolt handle on the left side it somehow makes the blaster stay straight

I've had this one for quite a while, it's not great. Stock is prone to breaking and has pretty finnicky and unreliable performance at least for mine
