  • Dodging rain showers we sailed from Trossachs Pier to Stronachlachar Pier and return on Loch Katrine, Scotland. Listening to the heart beat of the three-cylinder triple-expansion steam engine made by Matthew Paul & Company, Dumbarton, and now runs on Biofuel.

Nice wee video, thanks. Its good to see Sir Walter Scott back.....I'd recommend a day's jaunt round Loch Katrine to anyone.......we parked the car at Stronachlachar, took the steamer to the Trossachs pier end, then cycled back around the loch to the car. Nice quiet road, stunning scenery and a fabby wee day oot!

Loch Katrine is an amazing place, have cycled around there countless times over the years. So many people don't know of it or visit it, and it's so close to Glasgow too.

Thank you for the kind comment, although our day was a tad wet and blustery at times I think this added to the atmosphere of the trip overall. We visited quite a few Loch's on our journey and every one had beauty to show.
