Some nugget heads out there call themselves "professionals" , But you truly are a Professional Prospector ! Thanks for all the great content Chris . You`re an asset to the community
Thanks again Chris, your video has given me some more stuff to pay attention too...Great info as usual and happy hunting to you...doing the video and sound of the targets and digging them up gives all of us a better knowledge of the technic...I will pass this video onto others so they can watch your channel.
Great video! I would have liked to see a gold target but as always you keep it real. I also would like to see a side by side video with the 24k. I know that would be a bit of a pain going back and forth. I know the pulse would punch deeper but i think it would be a very intresting video. I think this video waa really informative that would help out a newbie alot. Knowing your detector really well helps tremendously. That marriage takes time a lot of field use. Many detecorists never reach that level of mastery.
If I hit a target and use the Iron discrimination buttron , if it isn't ferrous and a grunting sound what will the tone sound like if any? On the Axiom of course.
You either get no tone if its unsure or a tone like when its not on disc if the detector thinks its good. You can only walk away from the grunts - if its is unsure it could be gold - the machine just can't tell.
There are many factors that determine price. Being raw does affect price as no platinum nugget is pure platinum, there are always other metals mixed in.
There are many factors, you must choose for yourself. Choosing a metal detector for yourself takes some thought. Check out my video on it: ruclips.net/video/EF4oFvSHbJo/видео.html
That’s fairly impressive. I think of the places I have walked away from because of way too much old timers trash. This machine would be very useful in those areas. Can’t wait until you do some gold testing. I will admit I have Minelab PI machines but it’s certainly good to keep up with what is on the market.
~I would like to see a Garrett Axiom “vs” Minelab GPZ 7000 >comparison< with similar sized coils on different sized buried targets (nuggets). ~Also very refreshing to hear somebody (Chris Ralph) say T’ar’get correctly right. Not T’o’get incorrectly wrongly as the Australians say it on their detecting videos which drives me nuts.
@@ChrisRalph~Yes I agree the 7000 would win is a correct assumption. ~Also the very best discrimination technique for working in ‘trashy’ goldfield areas would be two people working together as a team, one person hunting with a PI (7000) and the other one carrying a coin hunting type (Equinox or Manticore) VLF turned off and only turning it on to ID check (trash/treasure) targets in discrimination mode, pinpoint, and help dig with the other person in partnership. The second person carrying the VLF could also carry a rifle or shotgun on a shoulder sling for protection from bears and cougars.
Dang Chris. I can't remember if I ever seen you bring up a piece of gold I'm sure that you did. It's just I can't remember seeing it. I've seen a lot of the gold that you have found. But usually that is when you forgot to turn on your camera or something went wrong with the camera or you forgot to bring the camera..I've seen a lots of trash but gold not so much. 🙃
I assume you are pulling my leg - or maybe you just have only watched a couple of my detecting videos. I think this is the only one where I dig only trash, and the one that was off camera - that is the only one like that. All the other detecting videos I have gold.
@@ChrisRalph Nah. I've been watching your videos for a long time now and just can't remember if you ever dug up some gold. I'm not saying you didn't it's just i can't remember seeing it. I've seen you you get gold with the sluth box and other ways. Just not with the metal detector. Maybe you did when you went to Alaska, but again I'm just not sure. I guess I'm just getting old and forgetful. It's probably because more trash comes up it's a little harder to remember when you did get gold. Not that I'm complaining mind you. The worst day prospecting is better than the best day at work.
I can’t believe we don’t have one that tells us what metal it’s detecting! These different noises are trickery, the makers are playing games and getting us at it, for their own amusement 😂
It's easy to expect something, but physics dictates that distinguishing metals when the target could be of any size or depth is essentially impossible.
Sorry, you are wrong and don't know what you are talking about. I had the DD coil on. You do know they both come in the same housing and so appear similar. The Mono says mono on it the DD says DD - Otherwise they look the same.
I do not offer any personal training or consulting for metal detecting. However, I do have a two part series of videos that contain all the info I would tell you if I took you out on a training day. Take a look and watch all the linked videos and you will learn quite a bit. Part 1 can be found here: ruclips.net/video/SIiYU6h_MEc/видео.html and Part 2 can be found here: ruclips.net/video/mM2XLwn5jcs/видео.html

And these guys should know!
Hey Adam, are you and Boulderdash going to drop a nugget hunting diss track?
@@jeffinphx517 I`m not sure what you mean. Hopefully a new video out soon
Wow, thanks!
Yup, I'd have to agree with Adam on this comment, Chris is the real deal..... Nice to see you doing more Axiom video's Chris, I'm loving mine.
so far so Good Can't wait to see it work in person
We need to work out a time to get together.
very instructive. Thank you ❤❤❤. Is there a difference between metal detector and ground detection radar?
Huge difference - like the difference between a microwave and a television.

Thanks, glad it was helpful
Enjoyed the informative video Chris and wanted to add I think Charles Garrett and Roy Lagal would have been happy with Garrett's latest gold detector!
Thanks - and this detector is far beyond the old tech of the 1970s and 1980s.

@@ChrisRalph ha! I thought you did. Oh well.
@ChrisRalph you can borrow mine for the vid.
I got my copy of "Fists Full of Gold" and it's great. 🔥💯🔥⛏️ Thx for the vid.
Glad you are enjoying it!
Hi mate, how does this detector compare to the the Garrett ATX on gold targets? Thanks!
They are totally different technologies. the Garrett ATX is a VLF machine, the Axiom is a pulse induction. Like comparing apples to elephants.
If I hit a target and use the Iron discrimination buttron , if it isn't ferrous and a grunting sound what will the tone sound like if any?
On the Axiom of course.

Chris sir.
What should a 58 gram platinum nugget sell for?
I know by weight the value,
But does the nugget being raw effect the price?
There are many factors that determine price. Being raw does affect price as no platinum nugget is pure platinum, there are always other metals mixed in.
@@ChrisRalph thanks Chris.
I'm in Old Shasta California.
I'll take it to the Jewelry shop next week.
I'll let you know what they say.
Thanks Chris! Great demo and field trip✊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wisdom and experience can help us too see beyond shadowing and masking of some real beauties.
Thanks!
between this one and ctx 3030 which one has good discrimination
For hunting treasure, coins, jewelry, etc. the CTX 3030 would be better. For gold nuggets, the Axiom would be better.
Hi Mr Chris I want to buy a gold detector which one is good the gpx6000 or garrett axiom

Too much trash can make it difficult.
Hi chris I can effort to buy the sdc2300 and garrett axiom, which one is good
Both are good.
will this work in a salt water environment ?
Beaches yes, but underwater, no.
Is there an expensive detector that only reacts to gold?
No. Such a detector does not exist.

The 7000 would win at most tasks, but it costs twice as much. The advantage of the Axiom is that it has discrimination.

How much it cost for GPZ 7000 ?
Sir
You would have to find a dealer in your country and ask that person.
I use a Garrett ATX for civil war relic hunting.
If it’s in the soil, it will find it!
Its a good detector.
