Good for you for knowing what to rip and use for something else. That's such a hard thing when so much time has been invested and I love that you went through and did this. I get why you don't wear or knit shawls. I never expected myself to be a shawl knitter, but I live in Texas and it is HOT here. The few days it is cold, people crank thermostats into the 70s, so even then, a plush and fluffy wool sweater is much too hot. Most of my knit sweaters are tees in linen/cotton blends. But a shawl I can easily take with me and put on and remove quickly when it's too hot. And they usually don't require as much yarn as a cardigan in my size, so I can buy more expensive yarn. But I'm jealous of knitters who live in places where they can knit big, cozy, fall and winter knits and wear them for more than 3 days a year.
Thanks Amanda for sharing. Good for you for not keeping I am trying to do the same thing frogging or keeping. I think the boucle yarn and white speckled yarn would make an adorable baby sweater or dress. I found an adorable baby sweater Lily on ravelry. ❤
This seems like such a cathartic experience, letting go of things that have been sitting for a while. I love the color you’ve picked out for your new Fouetté cardigan, so much that I contemplated doing the same 😂. Your Little Crystals is coming along nicely too!
I have a bunch that have been hanging around for years and I used to say it was ok because I can work on them when I am old and in a home! What makes me think I will be able to see well enough to do cross stitch!!!😂😂😂
Haha I'm the same, well, 24 years to be exact 😂 I bought it when visiting a friend abroad who had just had her first baby, and I used to joke if I didn't finish it for years she could have it for her 21st birthday... Well she's now 24 and no sign of the cross stitch being finished 🤭
@@yorkshirenomeat least I am not the only one! But why can’t we just let them go already? Nope, just keep moving it around to a new location chanting one day…one day. 😂
Funnily enough, I am working on my Helia as I am watching this. It is coming out so beautiful, but it is definitely a focus knit 😅 I only just worked out how to do the weirdest of the cable - 37 rows into chart B 😂 Better late than never right?
Have you ever seen the George Carlin stand-up “A Place for Your Stuff”? I’m convinced projects bags are the knitters’ equivalent, as soon as I have a new project bag, my WIP pile also grows by one 😂
Lots of potential for baby things!!❤❤❤

Oh my. How many projects. They are all lovely ❤

I love seeing what projects others have hiding away. 😄 Also! I loved our collab! 😘
It was so much fun to work together! I’ll cherish the stitch markers forever. 💜

I have a cross stitch project I haven't touched in 25 years!😂 But I just can't get rid of it!

Happy that you were able to get the video uploaded! Looking forward to seeing all the WIPs!
❤️🌈
If your gauge has changed just swatch again and change needle size 😊
Oh my gosh you’re totally right. Duh! Haha. Thank you!

Hey, you figured it out eventually! That's all that matters! haha

Knitting straight stockinette puts me to sleep! This was a great video BTW! You kept me company while I stitched on my latest Long Dog Sampler!
Lol, I mostly love it when I'm invested in a movie of something, but want my hands busy. Otherwise I feel the same way!
It would be fun to see UFOs (unfinished objects) get traded or sold between knitters - I would completely buy the shawl WIP from you! 😊
I think people do that sometimes! I just usually love the yarn so much that I want to see it used it a project I'll get use out of!
If you end up finding the Lento too pale, could you dye it once the whole sweater is finished?
Yes, I totally could! Another reason I think it’s worth finishing!
